sounds like BAIeR is formulating, or at least reinforcing his opinion off some schoolboy in an 80's honda with a hackjob engine swap........
find some imports built right and driven by people that know what they are doing and see how much better you 6 cylinder is i'll even point you in the right direction: SCCA find your region, then look up Solo II if you are just getting started.......you'll meet guys worth talking to that drive both imports and domestics

If the swap is correctly done with all the parts it should have. A civic hatch 1990 with a Stock B16A1 should run high 14s, flat 15s! If he swap a B18C1 ou a B16A2 (Civic Si 99-00) now thats another story. My friend with a stock B16A2 ran 14.38 in a 1992 civic cx! My friend with a stock JDM H22A in a civic coupe ran 13.5 on slicks! Civics with swap can be quick... if its done right!

He is right. I raced a stock one in my SHO this year. It went a 15.50@90 and the kid didnt look a day older than 16. If he DOES have a 100 shot, who knows.

I would have to say you would kill him off the line, youll kill him even more if he hits his nawwssszzzz. He will try to be sweet and launch at like 6 grand, and his litle pizza cutter front tires will spin like mad. Quite frankly, a 100 shot seems a little much for that little 1.6? to handle. Ive seen them with 30 and 50 shots, but never a 100 on a stock engine. Hell we have to start upgrading fuel systems after about a 125 shot. Id love to hear what happens with this race. - John

I was talking to this guy a year ago or so and he was telling me how his freind was running a 300 WHP on his stock civis with juice. Of course he went on to tell me that he "hung" with a Porsche 911 Tubo to 170 MPH in his Stock Toyota Celica

The fact that you lost the 5 bucks in the first place is unacceptable.

put it this way if the kid is spraying a 100shot it is not going to last long. Around my town there is not much other than ricers and let me tell ya they are fast ricers too. Most of the ricers around here are the little baby shoes straped with a fat turbo or nitrous... I hang around with alot of them because there are not many other car guys around here... All of the ricers i talk to around here do not spray more than 75shot with out internal engine work. If you think about it what are most people spraying in stock mustangs... 100hp-150hp and we have 4 more cylinders to feed. I think that guy is pushing the bs.....

since it often bears negative connotations, many find the "ricer" term offensive
