GS-T question
I got a 1994 Mustang v-6. It is pretty darn slow. One day I was drving along minding my own busniess when a Eclippse GS-T pulls up next to me about 45mph. When he gets next to me he guns it. You can hear the turbo start to spin. So I drop to forth gear and give it alittle gas and I leave the guy as if he was standing still. My questions is. How fast are these cars. I was told that they can keep up with a cobra. MY car had no mods and the CAM sensor was bad. I still beat him. Anyone know how fast they really are?

I can tell you right now that stock for stock, they're faster than a 1994 V6.
[edit]The GS-T came standard with a 2.0L DOHC inline 4 that made 210hp and 214ft-lbs of torque. In a car that weighs about 2800lbs, that's not too bad.[/edit] |

yeah they run like low to mid 15's stock. with very little work they can be made into a bad car.
oh, and jeb...you quoted hp numbers. that was for the stick, the auto made 205. Which makes me wonder...if HP numbers are BHP, with no belts, why the different numbers for a stick and auto? and whyonly 5 p? was the tune different perhaps?

Different computer programming, probably. It could be a million different things, what with the way transaxles are mounted to engines. It could be a small kink in an exhaust pipe, necessary for clearance, that causes the power loss.

I agree that I should have been beaten. My car is slow as balls. He gunned it and I left him. It said GS-T on the back. You could hear it winding up.
