Firehawk got FireWALKED!
Too bad i didnt do the walking, but my friend in the 85 coupe 347, always, everyday comes by my house to drink a cold one after work, shoot the bull, but yesterday he comes by, just walked in all pumped up, and excited after work, telling me he was behind a firehawk ls1, he said he saw the tach through the window, and followed close, 2 guys, the passenger waves his hand out the window to follow them to the entrance to the industrial like road, so he follows, pulls along side.
he said "honk us off" so the guys honked, 3rd time they were off, he said the firehawk pulled him about half a car, while the stang was spinning the e.t. streets in smoke, shifting at 6500 through 1st 2nd, 3rd the stang hooked, and he said he shot by them and pulled an easy 2 cars, up to about 110 where a stop sign was approacing quick, those younger guys got that great screaming beautiful sound of the 2 chbr flows fly bye in a hurry, next is that supra, which is the firehawk guys friend. everyone wants to race my friend, thinking its all show, with the cowl, welds, skinnies, and when these kids look at a carbed motor, they just laughed and said "so this is supposedly a 347 huh?" lol....

he run best on motor 12.2 @114, but that was with a bent control arm causing the d/s to hit, and with severely worn springs, i thought he told me the cntrl arm was broke, but he said it is just bent, he had the springs replaced, boxed in the arms, no more floor bang, and the car sits up higher now in the rear, i really get a rush from that car, it pulls to the rev limiter 6800 like a flash of light! im loving these carb setups now, and he is only running a 650 dp.
tommorow test n tune, he is gonna spray 150 shot, and see about 10's @ 125, but the tires already have hel1 holding up.

He should hit a 10 easily if he hooks. 60 ft is everything.
I've run 12.1 with a 2.0 60 ft, and then run 11.3 with a 1.75 short time.

Tell your friend Good Kill for us.
Kids in new LS-1's tend to think there invincible and unbeatable. My sisters friends are real big trash talkers but when I tell them where to go to race, they never show. But then again, Tim C, Eric, and I have a reputation going on this side of town. |

yea 60 ft is where its at, but his best was a 1.8, and thats because he babied it out on some vht, he needs real slicks, since he stopped driving it, except maybe to my house...(a block away) or to the track (5 minutes away) i'll tell him about the "good kill" he is supposed to be a memeber here soon, he doesnt know what a real stang site is i guess, lol he waste his time on txracingscene.com where all the f-bods and ricers talk there crap....

CT LS-1 :)
THere are a whole bunch of LS-1 up here. There is one kid though, nice enough guy, but has a 2000 with the procharger, a convertor, and gears. Nice setup, runs 11.9's. ANYWAY he runs everything.... i mean everything. If he loses though, watch out... you cheated! All the F body guys look up to him like he is the king ****. LOL
So, he is building this 355 for it for next season, says he is going to wipe up the streets with my stang. As you can see by my signature, my car is no slouch. Just cracks me up the Ego the F body guys carry. Kinda makes me want to put together a 5 speed coupe with a 250 shot just to shut the rest of them up.

he did a good job on keeping those f-bods in check, now there is some seriously modded f-bods, like the one i explained goes 10.3@ 136, but with 2 power adders, and some other guys with stroked 422c.i. blown f-bods, see what we gotta deal with |
