Raced a 93 Cobra!!
I was driving around today, enjoying the sun when I pass a red 93 Cobra on the side of the road waiting to turn on. I see him get behind me and catch up. I switched lanes and let him pull even. We talked for a minute while we slowed down to about 40.
He punched it just before me and jumped 1/2 car ahead. He shifted and pulled me pretty good. He probably had me by about one and a half cars when we had to slow down. One and a half cars wouldn't be that bad of a loss but we only raced from 40 to 80. Damn, I need some top end. Better get those headers and h-pipe ordered. ------------------ 91 GT AOD: 3.73's, Pulleys,PI Converter, 14.71@91.78mph 2.11 60'(before pulleys) |

Yea man i need an h-pipe and headers real bad, these cats are hurting my mph, although i am happy with my e.t
your car probaly picked up a tenth, and moved your mph to 94 with the "pullies", but im just guessing i dont even have pullies, i heard 1.7 rockers and a bigger Maf would make some more top end too. and yea those 93 cobras are pretty fast, i wonder how my car would have handled it. ------------------ 90 lx coupe: Mac cold air fenderwell, accel supercoil, advncd ignition,3-core radiatr, FMS alum D/S, Black magic fan, 3.27grs, 3chbr flows. With your convertor and gears you probably would have fared better from a stop. Full exhaust(headers, hpipe, mufflers) should give you some more top end... or you could just throw a 75 shot on.

Before I done any mods to my 89 LX with the exception of 3.55 gears I ran a 93 Cobra. The guy was in front of me and I passed him (he was my ex's cousin so I knew he would get on it). We rounded a curve and we were in 3rd gear and we got in the throttle. The distance between us stayed the same all the way through the gears. I didn't shut off until my shift light came on at 5500 rpm in 5th gear, I asked him later how fast he was going and he said it was over 135 mph.
