I rode in a skyline GTR r32 today
well today I driving at the local auto X today. my friend called me and said that a GTR just pulled in the parking lot. I love the skyline they are bad as poo. so I went over and sure enough there it was. So I asked him if he wanted to go for a pass in my car and he did all he could say was that it had a lot of tourqe. so I asked if he would take me for a ride and he said that he would. and I got in the passenger that is normally the driver side and went through the parking lot. he never flored it but it was just cool becouse you never get to see those. I am racing it on friday when i have a full bottle hehehe I will record it and put it on the board.

Skylines are pretty sweet. I was thinking about putting an R34 motor in my 240z, but decided to sell it. I've seen it done, the car would run in the 10's if it will hook up.
I've seen a couple r34's running around up in Irvine, and there is a company that imports them. They are on my list of cars to buy, maybe bring one up from Australia.

thanx, as much as luv the 'lines, i luv the raw power n looks of stangs, hence my presence here, not really lookin at gettin one but I figured i might as well get to know more about a childhood dream car. (BTW stangs are hard to come by in Australia, and I think Ford's started to import em now, but they're hella expensive... even more than GTRs lol)

you get the ford n gm (or holden as we call em) cars on the drags, but they're all old gemini's that make 355HP n stuff. Not much in the muscle department as far as those two brands go in Australia in the past... mostly sedans, recently they've madde it better introducing the new model HSV Monaro (342HP Stock), Falcon XR8 Sprint (Trickford version), GT Falcons, Twin Supercharged V8 XF Falcon Ute (Pickup or whatever you guys call it). Then there's the VL Commodores (or commonwhores as us skyline drivers call em ) with the skyline RB engines, there's quite a few runnign around with GTR engines making them Straight 6 Twin Turbo cars that will rip u a new anus.
They're so common that they don't really get much notice until they take off, and theyre very easily confused with their family car lookalikes. Mustangs, corvettes etc on the other hand, they're very noticable down here, you'd stand out like a sore thumb.

funkymonkey I always wanted to bring my '91 GT down to Melbourne to raise hell and test it on your country back roads. I use to work for a company called PrintSoft, based out of Moorabin (on the out skirts of Melbourne). Been there twice; you live in a kick a*$$ city. Have a pint of VB for me and F*** Fosters beer!

Nothing beats the salt lakes for runs and both AU and US have plenty of them. yes I totally agree **** fosters lol

I am still drawing plans to drop the RB26DETT motor into a 260z. That way it would still be 'just another 2.6 I6. I hope funkymonkey to be a resource on that car. It just isn't feasable with the one car garage I have now.
