A Little Lesson in BLACK!
I am new to this site...and I was browsing through the archives of some races against the Buick Grand National. I thought I would share a little insight into this car before you all go out and pick a fight with one.
This video is on the GNX, however, a few mods to a standard Grand National, will put it at the same or higher level than the GNX. Enjoy! |

There was a GNX on Ebay that just sold. It had like 200 original miles on it. It was up to $25k with a day left. Beautiful car but a regular Grand National would be easier to find for alot cheaper.
For a show car, I'd love to have a GNX

blue oval 50h is correct. I think that you'll find most educated Ford enthusiest's know very well about the potential of the turbo Buick's.
There are a number of very mean turbo Buicks around here. But I think thats because Bucks County is home to Dennis Kirban, Dale Cherry, and Dave H., some of the higher reguarded Buick specialists around.

That said, what is your purpose here??? Whether you believe it or not we are not all idiots here. We don't need illumination from some teen newbie on how fast GNs are (And if you're older than a teen, then act your age...). No one here really gives a CRAP if any GN guy get's "pissed" or not. Ease up, try to have a little respect, and respect will be given in return. Have a nice day!

Oh I think I am acting my age! I wont say what that is, but lets just say its older than "teen" ok!
Anyhow, my purpose here is just to stir the pot on you rustang lovers! Why? Cause all through my teenage years I owned GM cars, and had the pleasure of waxing many o rustangs with my Chevy IROC & Pontiac Firebird. Now, that I have a GN, I can continue to slaughter 5.0's at any given time! Thats all |

I might advise you to tone it down a notch. There is a guy who hangs around here with a GN and a TTA. Both cars are mint, and he knows a good deal about them, and Mustangs. I would like to see your mighty IROC and Firebird against some 5.0's now. Seems like you need to be reminded that the aftermarket support for the 302 came alive in the late 90's and I've personally seen some cars with very little done to them run VERY well. You may be suprised that the your GN has its work cut out for it by very mundane looking cars. If your looking for trouble, try MustangWorld. If you want some intelligent discussions on cars and races, stay put.

I dont have the Iroc or the Firebird anymore. Just the GN. However I am looking to Buy a 89 Turbo Trans Am soon.
Anyhow, The GN is a garage queen. You Ford owners can run your cars daily...as Ford is good enough to be a daily driver. But a car like a GN you dont want to put the wear or milage on. Its like a fine wine...gets better with age. I have come up against a few of you Fanatics (when I say fanatic, I mean the loud exhaust which is really irritating, the stupid rims, the lowering of the car....you know, you give it that "Rice" look) on the road here in Vegas, and its not even a race 1/2 the time. One car did give me a bit of a challenge...an 03 Cobra. But in the end, he got smoked as well! You all should come out to Vegas in November. The LVMSW is hosting a Buick Grand National event one weekend (I forget which). Went last year, best time was 7.95 @140....like to see a rustang pull those numbers...dont forget friends, its a V6 I'm out! |

7.95 @ 140, It would be nice IF that was you car. What does your car run? I have put the smack down on quite a few GNs. Yes they are nice, yes their value is growing every year. But occasionally a punk like you gets his hands on one. I have family in Vegas, I may just show up that weekend and look you up so you can show me.
People who run 7s don't talk smack, grow up tinny.

You are just blowing smoke, and are losing credibility with every post that talks about how fast other peoples cars are. I'm going to lake Mead this weekend, how about we meet up somewhere and you show me the GN?

Friend of mine has a Mustang II that runs 8.88 in the 1/4. There is mustangs on ESPN that run 5's in the 1/4 mile. Big F-ing deal. They are not my cars so who cares. You going to talk trash do it about YOUR own car!!!
If you want to just stir up the pot go hurass some Honda Sites. They are so much more fun to piss off. With American cars dying out (eg Camero, Trans-am) us American cars need to stick together.

7.95@140 that shows me you know nothing about drag racing and youve never raced you car before. I knew you would go for the usual GN FAG statement "its only a 6" handicap bull$hit. Keep that $hitter in the garage and keep typen little girl w/ a 6
