Exclamation Fun night runing against some bikes!

Well tonight I left the dealership a little early and decided to look for somebody to run against. I drove up US 31 heading North towards down town Indy when I came across two bikes, a ZX6 and a Honda 929, we ran a couple of times from a 50 mph roll. I walked the ZX6 no problem and stayed pretty close to the 929, he would get a car on me from the jump, but he could not pull away from me. We raced to about 120 or so. After that they did not want to play any more so I drove around and tryed to get a C5 to race me, but he wouldn't. I drove back to the dealership and talked to one of my buddys who just bought a ZX7. We decided to run them a few times just for the fun of it. The first time we ran from about 20 mph and I just spun badly, by this time it was about 8:30 pm, the temperature was falling fast and it was geting too cold to hook up, I let off and we turned around. This time we went from about a 40-45 mph roll. I pulled him by about a half a car length to 90, when a car pulled out infront of me and I had to slam on my brakes. We went one last time and he got me by about 2 cars from 50-125 mph. I was slowly creeping up on him at the end of the run. Tomorrow I am puting on my new Nitto NT555R 275/40R17 drag radials. All of the racing was done on 116 octane race gas on high boost setting runing 1.6 bar maximum boost.

How much do you figure you can gain with the Nittos 555R?

I don't know? I have never had it at the track yet. I know 1st and 2nd gears are totally worthless unless I can get some traction, which I can never get with street tires. Heck I can hardly hook up in third gear. I hope they will help out a lot, 3/10-4/10 of a second or more would be great. I don't know if that is too much to ask of them.

It is good to see some friendly posts from someone who doesn't own a Mustang. Good kills, it sounds like your car is very impressive.

Nice kills WEST!

Always like to see the car taking bikes for a change! At least the new bikes. The older 600's are fair game for us stock 5.0's a lot of the time.
