DX civic almost jumped me!
A black lowered civic pulls out behind me and follows. I was just cruising, so i payed him no mind at first. He gets closer and i notice the whiny exhaust and the lowered stance, at this point i turn off my fan and radio. Then i am turning right on to a 2 lane spur, i stay to the right behind a truck to see if he wants to jump. He does so i give 1/2 throttle in 3(which is usually enough to dispell any civic) but the fuker starts to pass me. I can't pull in front b/c the truck is there. He passes and i down shift to 2 and nail it. I slowly pull on him to the mid of 3, then let off sopme as to not hit him. I am right behind him, then all of a sudden he lunges forward and i floor it. He pulls about a car before i reacted. We stay even from then on, no pulling either way. I flash him and he slows to pull along side. It is a DX hatch that was gutted with some JAZ drag seats in it, a big tach and 5 pnts. I give a thumbs up and ask what he's got. He sais a GSR motor and we wave and go sepperate ways. That was the best import race i've ever had. I think he sprayed me judging by the way he lunged at the middle of 3. Light Em Up!!!

A GSR engine in a DX would run high 14's with a stock motor.

Damn Man, you gotta hand it to some of the import drivers out there. I think its pretty amazing that they can run with a modded 5.0 with just a 1.8 4 banger...

Inferno, i told my bud about this. He has a riced DX and knows the guy. He sais it has a n2o kit and weighs about 2000 lbs. That thing was pretty quick. I had him till he sprayed me, at that point it was even. I also had just filled up and had a bunch of stuff from work in the car with me. I am not that heavely modded. Most of the $$ i have spent has gone into the chassis, and tranny. Engine is some what stock, not a ton of stuff. At least he was not an a$$hole. Light Em Up!!

Damn! A 1000+ pound advantage...those things are freakin' light! I wonder what my Stang would run with a 1000 lbs. weight reduction?

Inferno and Special K: I am not disputing that the car was fast. It was a quick little bastard! I think he sprayed me b/c we were already about 1/2 way through 3 when he lunged forward. He was trying to pull in 3 but couldn't. So he sprayed me to try and get away. I also smelled rottem egge after wards. It was a nice little car. By no meens something to be taken lightly.
