Question

Can someone e-mail me the details?, please. I am still trying to make it fit my schedule so I would like to know the details. Are there any caravans passing through Orange County (5 or 405)? If so, what time do you think you'll be coming through so I can possibly meet up. If there are any caravans starting out in the OC area, let me know as well

E-mail me at gross_polluter001@yahoo.com

Thanks

hey Skyman, at 332rwhp you are going to be giving those chevys more than they can handle. you'll probably embarrass them so bad they'll all leave you definately should crack the 12's with that kind of hp.
did you dyno it at germanson(how ever you spell that) in oxnard? If so do you have there phone#, and how long did it take to get your car in there? kill some chevys for me!
on a side note I have a pretty good feeling I'm going to crack into the 13's even with my crappy driving, so do I need a helmet at Carlsbad? thanks.

OK, I am only going to offer once...
If anyone needs to do some last minute work on thier car, let me know, I can get you on to Marine Air Station Miramar to use the auto hobby shop. It is about 20 minutes from the track. (also good if someone breaks something!) These hobby shops are kick a$$ and only cost 2 bucks an hour.
Lifts, tools, and mechanics are on duty to assist.

Ed- Sounds great. I can't think of anythign I really need to do to my car right now, but I wish I could think of something! Nice to know though if something does happen to break . (fingers crossed).

We are meeting in Thousand Oaks at 9:30am and leaving hopefully by 9:45.

Here are the directions...

To get to ToysRUs just take the 101 south, to the moorpark ave. exit (next off ramp exit after lynn rd.on 101) then make a left. Janns market place is the shopping center on the left just after hill crest ave. It's like 3-4 lights up. you can't miss it.

We then will be picking up Fastangs group farther south off the 5 freeway. If your farther south ask him about where they plan to meet up. I will be callin him from my cell when we get close and coordinating a pick up of them.

Here come the MW boys!

46stang- Yeah I went to germanson w/ advice from withamc. It only took 2 days to get in and their phone # is 971-1055. If you dont have a timing adjuster and adjustable FPR I suggest you get them before you go there so they can tune your car up all perfect. I'd be excited to see what kinda numbers you'll put down.

I'm gettin soo excited! I wish I had some extra cash I'd throw on a 125shot of nos.. dangit.

I'm sure everyone knows, but you do need a helmet and long pants.

Fastang - Thanks for the info on the meeting spot. If I am able to go, I will pm & post later in the week. That meet spot isn't too far from me. Thanks again

Just some info...

You need a helmet even if your car runs 18.00's

I already gave up the spare helmet I got from a friend...anyone else have a spare that one of these guys can use?

A roll cage is needed if you have a vert running in the 13's (you can get a run in but they will send you to the bleachers after that)

Long pants are needed...They will not let you race without them

Do not burn out past the start line during staging

Roll up windows as soon as you get near the staging area

Have your seat belt on (duh!)

have your paperwork ready and in hand when you go up to the starting line for the first time.

Pomona didnt make you wear a helmet untill you could cut a 13.999 or better. I made lots of 14 sec passes there without a helmet. I dont think Carlsbad is as strict as Pomona...I heard they dont even tech the cars first!

FYI, you WILL need a helmet to run at Carlsbad no matter how fast your car is. They do tech in the staging lanes in about 4 seconds. see ya there

Fastang - I will try to meet up with you this Thursday night.

Also, every time I've been there they've made everyone racing wear a helmet. The last time we had 3 people sharing the same helmet so we had to try to space the cars out enough in the staging lines to be able to complete the "helmet pass marathon".

I dont have a problem letting someone use my helmet in between runs. I might be able to get one or two more also. (total of four: my own, sky, and whoever) Got to warn you though. my personal helmet is my dirt bike helmet and it has that "not so fresh feeling!" (looks cool though with the Troy Lee design kit!)

GP6T is right...tech is a joke!

only 6 days left...

I've never run it except on the street, it has new wheels & tires, new exaust, and that about covers it. Looking to change a lot in the future including engine. Any ideas are appreciated.

I don't think that I am going to be able to make it....but if I do make it, I will be in a car that will be kicking up dust from the rear-end.....
