It really is getting out of hand. You can't go anywere anymore without seeing some clear taillights or a fart tip. And at the strip it's even worse...if there is an import running mid 14's, all the ricers look up to that car like it's god. I mean come on...mid 14's is nothing to poop your pants for

yeah, lost a lot of money on my RSX going to my GT, but it is well worth it. it gets a lot of looks and will be more fun in the end.

I love it when rice with "NAWSSSSSSS" run me and still get spanked by a stock Cobra.

yea, I beat a modded integra with a Zex 75 hp shot kit with my stock GT. But it also seems that imports are starting to grow in my area.

The best part about the cars on ebay is how many of them make reference to "The Fast and the Furious". I almost fell out of my chair when I saw that.

I don't like these punk *** ricers ethier, but the police do. They will pull these guys over in a heart beat. I kind of think it is funny that these guys take the heat off us domestic guys that really have a car that is worth racing. Let them think they are the **** and take the fall on the streets for a while.

I agree, it seems like every weekend I am out I see at least one or two ricers pulled over. That works for me. I would expect to get pulled over too if I drove around with strobe lights everywhere and racing around like a fool. Anything that takes the heat off the v8 guys is alright with me.

When I was at the track, everyone got a kick out of this new style eclipse. After the sun went down, they asked everyone o turn on their parking lights for safety. And everyone did so...but this eclipse not only had his parking lights on...he also had strobe lights in the headlights, foglights, taillights, and had his under-car neon lit up too. Then he proceeded to run a 16 something

I accidentally tried to come on an import night to race with my friends and since i couldn't get in and my friend could, i ended up watching him run low 15's high 14's with his Prelude (which is actually fairly nice....but on the border of ricey) and the fastest car was a mid 12 full race civic and other than that it was the new integras with huge shots of nitrous running mid 14's!

I hate to say this, but I am a ricer. Of course an SVO is not your typical rice car. I get a big kick out of what some of these kids do to these imports and then try to make people think they are fast.
I have always been a V-8 man, but I also enjoy the SVOs for their handling and uniqueness. If people really wanted to make something with 4-cylinders go fast, they should look at what Ford did in the mid-80's. I really hope these ricers aren't the future of the cruising/racing hobby. If you want a good laugh, just watch The speed channel on Sunday nights at 1030(Hi-rev Tuners), the hosts talk about flared body kits and sound systems, but these cars are so hillarious that I almost want to fall out of bed. By the way, I have yet to lose to a ricer in my 01' Crown Vic. Of course my strobes and blue lights tend to stop them in their tracks. |
