Unhappy 0-60MPH 6 sec????

Ok I got the 3.55 on now I had a best of 6.15 Now with the 3.55 I ran 6.05. Now Is that Good? I think it is a bit slow It is alot harder to launch Than the 2.73 I had the wheels spin I think that I should get better with the gears with time, I need to find out whem I should shift. Any Guess on when to shift I will be geting a shift lite this week.!!

Your E.T. is a little high for 103mph. It should be low 13's. I think it's time to bust out the slicks!

G-Techs always give a much higher MPH because they give your actual MPH in the 1/4 mile, at the track the MPH is estimated and not actual, my car runs about 112 or so with a g-tech and 106-107 at the track.

LS1JAY is right about the G-Tech being optimistic, especially on the trap speed. My car runs 99-100 at the track while the G-Tech says 104-105. My ET's are about .2-.3 less on the G-Tech as well. I've run it at the track on the exact same runs, so I know what it does, at least on my car.

Hungry, G-Tech is a little electronic gizmo that will measure G force. That allows different modes to give the following information:

(1.) 0-60 mph time
(2.) 1/4 mile e.t and mph
(3.) forward G's
(4.) negative G's (braking)
(5.) lateral G's
(6.) calculated horse power

As noted, these figures can only be used for comparison. They aren't absolutes in any form or fashion. I use mine all the time, but only to see how I'm doing compared to times before. Look in any Summit catgalogue to order for $139.95.

If you car runs a mid to high 14 second quartermile ... considering that you are quick out of the hole, you should see a 5.8 to 6.2 60mph. I've managed a 5.2sec with a 13.8 on G-Tech.

I hate G-Tech... it does not behave the same when things are cool for some stupid reason.

Stang runner:

Even making a mph correction of say -3mph (for the sake of saying the G-tech is inaccurate) that still puts you at about 100mph which means you should be doing at least high 13s. The first time I took my car to the track (never having driven an LS1 before and much less an M6 before) I got a 14.2 or thereabouts

The same day...a guy I met there with a 98 Z28 (same engine and tranny) took my car and did a 13.59 at ~104mph. When I asked him how he did it...he asked me how many times I had my car at the track...I said "first time how about you?"...he smiled and said "roughly 220 times".

Moral of the story...it's not the car...it's getting used to driving it. If you went from 2.73s to 3.55s that's a big change and you can't launch the same way. Keep practicing (even if it's on an empty road by yourself) and with no more mods I guarrantee (based on the 100mph trap) you'll be seeing about 13.7 in a month or two.

I ran 13's on the stock t-5 but it broke I have yet to do a good 1/4 with the new 3.55 i have done a 14.62@96.9 That was only useing 3rd I thought I was done I looked at the G-tech It was a 12.5 I costed the rest of the way. I shifed to high So I set the lite at 5400 rpms Then I had a perfect launch and 2nd 3nd I spun in 3nd that was the frist time ever then the gas stuck down. so I looked at the G and it was at 11.3 sec. wow Then I had to shut down the car so I dont know what my time would have been I NEVER SAW 0-60 i was to fast to see it.
