This is frickin ridiculous!!
Just wondering why Gm would want to stop production on a car that can almost run 12's stock? what idiots, oh well i really dont care, what im getting at, is how fast my friends 01 formula a4 is?
His mods: pulley, cuttouts, gutted cat's, and SLp air lid. A pretty honest guy, I believe his story of mods, he hasnt had the car (used to drive a focus) long enough to put in a stall, but he is going too, wed the weather was warm and humid, he was in the 13.0-13.2 range all night, friday cooler air and better weather moved in, on street goodyear sc's he ran best 12.7 @ 110 2.0 60' So am i gonna have to drop 2k down on a holley package to even trap near that? say 108? Sorry im not trying to glamourize these cars, we all know the stories. but Im sure aerodynamics play a huge role in their trap speed, I know of stangs that will spank this guy, but not many, my friends347 stroker 5sp 410 grs lost on a roll race to this guy, but yet this mustang runs 12.2's @ 114? maybe the a4 was good from a 30-40 mph roll?? I think my buddy was driving bad, he really didnt lose, but he backed out, cuz he heard something pop in the rear, but you know all the f-bod guys called that a kill, which it was i guess.

Yeah its crazy. It bothers me sometimes too.
But you just gotta figure cost. 2k into a 3k car, your still below their budget. But for 15-20k They definatly are powerful cars. Skyler

The LS1's run REALLY well when it's cool outside. If he is stock just race him in the A4 dead spot, depending on gearing. At exactly 30-40mph the A4 doesn't downshift, and it lacks umph compared to normal. If you punch it anywhere in the range of 0-29mph, and 45mph-69mph it pulls hardcore. Catch him around like 30-40, and you should have a better chance. 30-40mph roll is def. not their strong part.

Or you could get a bottle for $600 and run pretty close to him. Hey how is the street racing in SA anyway? I'm in San Marcos, looking for somewhere to go within an hour of here.

And 1bad89, I asked about that roll race, they both agreed they were only doing 20mph, it looked faster to me, but thats what they said. Btw, im running a 99 35th anniversary GT probaly sat up there in sM, he is talking smack.

You betcha gonzo, I will be modding (stage2 holley heads) soon, but problem is, he will be getting a stall and sticky tires himself, Oh well its all in fun, I like his car, when we both went to the track, there were like 8 cars total, not a good turnout, but we were the two fastest out there. (not saying much) but all the fast stangs didnt show, and all the other f-bods averaged 13.5-13.9, so I was giving them he11... and beat a firehawk m6.....
