Default the chevy eater

We went out to see a 85 mustang race a 96 camero. The mustang runs low 9's on spray and the camero runs high nines on spray. The race was the mustang would give the camero 7 cars on the flag, both on motor. The mustang went right around that camero and beat it by about 4 cars. The mustang gain respect and 300 bucks.

A CamEro is a Camaro that has been totally Embarassed by something rather than a Chevy and that it has been stripped of all it' s dignity or what was left of it in a race that the Camaro should of had since the Camaro set it up trying to hustle his opponent in this case the Ford. Later to find out last Saturday while talking about races the CamEro admits to sneeking a 50 shot while racing. That is a CamEro.

You're pretty funny! I'm not here to flame, so I wont say much, but I will say this... You just showed your age in your last post.

who wants to guess........15? 16?

7 cars head start? So he gave him 7 tenths head start roughly. And beat him by 4 cars.......I see, I see, I see. And he get's the respect and $300 bucks.

Yeah, 7 spots and pulling 4 lengths on him by the stripe.....AND the Camaro was running a 50 shot, that seems like a dead even race to me and anybody with a car that fast, I hope knows how to drive it. I'm going to have to go with Josh on this one though. ~Brian

wow hold on, I didn't say that these cars were seen at the track they were based on what the racers said, so don't judge based on what they said b/c you know somebody lied. it goes along with street racing. I don't know how street racing goes in other citys but this is what it's like in Columbus, Ohio. You choose to race your opponent based on what you believe.

his profile says he'll be 16 in november.

302lk: by saying that the "The mustang runs low 9's on spray and the camero runs high nines on spray," you implied that you KNEW they ran those speeds (saw them at track, etc) you never said these were quoted times. 9s is ridiculous if these cars are out driving the street, why would you even post this as if you believed it. i think Dan's car is probably one of the fastest street trim mustangs around and is in the 10s (street trim) after MUCH hard work and dedication, and i doubt you'll find him racing camaros for $300 and respect on the weekends (but maybe im wrong). i doubt either one of these cars runs better than 12s.

even if the times were right it doesnt make sense like everyone said.... low 9s, we'll say ~9.2, high 9s we'll say ~9.8. 7 cars = 0.7... that puts the stang at 9.9 and camaro at 9.8. yet the stang beat him by 0.4? that means that the stang (no spray) overcame 1.1 seconds (7 cars plus 4 car lead) + spray difference (since he wasnt using spray). so if the camaro went 9.8 (cuz he used spray), that means the stang ran a whopping 8.0 or better on motor! entertaining story, but you arent saying you really believe this, much less want to argue it?

unless we arent talking about a quarter mile race, which changes everything, of course.

Two 'supposed' 9 second cars racing each other on the street?? That sounds really smart

Is the infamous Eric making a comeback? LOL

This is obviously a joke, but I have seen nine sec cars go at it on the street. As for how fast of a mustang can be driven in street trim well it depends on what you call street trim. Look at NMRA wild street those cars have to be street legal on DOT tires and have to drive 30 miles inorder to run then run without poping the hood all the while having full interior and there are several of them running eights and nines. Hell with a ET street and maybe a cam swap my car should go 10's and I will be driving it this way and I am sure I will be participating in some late night R&D.

first of all yes I am 15 years old and so what. Who ever said that I have these cars Ls1jay or what ever your name is, how could I. I will get a Mustang when I save enough money from working . I'm not some spoiled brat that lets their parents buy them a brand new car or any thing like that. When I do get a car it will be 94 -95 5.0 gt mustang, you know the last of the 5 ohs. This mustang will be bought by me. I know what I,m talking about when I talk about street racing. It is nothing like fast and furious you go out late at night to some place like industrial areas or maby a free way to stay safe. Beleive it or not I' ve been seeing street races since age 4. Whats this about not possible for a 9 sec. car to run on street it is possible thats called a true street car where you can drive far distance without trailer. In Columbus theres a 7 sec. car that races on the street . I'm not B S'n you why should I. They race for like 5 thousand dollars. It's crazy out here. In Columbus thats one of the few places where true street racing happens. Say what you want but it's the real deal out here.

I thought you were 16? now you are 15? maybe you should think before you speak. You seemed to get all bent out of shape when I jokingly said "Whats a CamEro" and you then started bashing them. I guess you didn't even notice that I also have 2 Ford trucks now did you? I don't hate Mustangs by any means, I like them, but I also like CamAro's! Actually, I like a lot of different types of sports cars. I've been street racing since before you were even born kid! Tell us some more about how you were out watching street races when you were 4 yrs old!

can you count november 1 1987 means I'll be 16 this november. Ya I saw that you have Ford trucks. That street racing comment wasn't 4 u. It was for who ever said something about not a 9 sec. car on street or what ever. The reason I put a mustang as my car is b/c that is my dream car that I hope to put together one day. Can I not do that or something. I am sure you will reply to this letter trying to down me once again.

You should indicate its a dream otherwise when you put a car down in your ride we beleive thats what you have.

FWIW lets hope you hope to have the mustang more then you wish to have the WRX.
