EZRIDN Vs. 300ZX TT
Cruzin home today in the LS1 after getting the tranny temp gauge, a pilar and cooler when a 300ZX TT blew by me on the highway. I noticed he had exhuast and 2 a pillar gauages so i thought this would be a good run. he never could get a light but slowed down and let traffic go infront of us and i kicked it while at his back bumber at around 40....we stayed into it until about 110 with us the same way as we started..no one pulled each other. He asked what i had, and then he reported that he had a chip, intake, and exhuast. He asked if i was an auto..i said yep Complimented each others rides adn went our ways....
thought i would share.

fun, fun, fun!
EZ:
Always liked those Z's!!! I dont know how much his mods gave him, but I'd have to say he must not have had a stock turbo in his car. Reason I think so is that 2 years ago I raced a 300ZX TT on the way to work, a former neighbor of mine, from a stoplight, & I had a carlength on him at 75-80 when I shut down for the rapidly approaching red light. Boy, was he pissed to lose to a stock 93 Cobra. I really think you should easily smoke those things, but I still love 'em! Take it easy & I'll let you know if I ever get to come down your way! Later! Sean

Not sure. Those 300s really pick up after about 70 mph. SO the fact that i hung dead even made me think i would have pulled him from the A4s sweet spot. The ship turns the boost up, and the exhaust and intake help too. He caught the LS1 at a dead spot so that didn't help. I wanted him from a stop with my DRs
Hey any thoughts on selling that Cobra"?????????

TT 300ZX's run low 14's stock. They are kinda on the portly side and more difficult to launch than the Supra. With those mods and good traction, he probably would be a mid low 13 second car...really depends on the chip and if the exhaust was a downpipe back or cat back system.
