Post Miata.. Miata.

I found this today: It was back in '97 though.

Saleens have outrageous body kits and some suspension improvements but most
of them really aren't all that much faster than the basic 'nags. They do
handle better though. I think in the twisties, you'll walk away from them,
and 10psi should take care of them straight line. (I did pass a couple of
them in an ex-CHP Mustnag LX at Thunderhill
Now, things like the S and SR351 are a different story, but you can still
take them in the twisties...more power doesn't exactly help a Mustnag's
problems.

Thats really pretty funny...like their dad or somethin told them when they were 5 that mustangs are the ford sports car but it cannot out handle or accelerate a 5 horsepower briggs and stratton powered go kart...puhlease...miata... yea saleens are only outrageous body kits and not supercharged or anything...miatas can take them in twisties lol...can you even hit 14's turbocharging a miata?

You can hit 14's in a miata if your towing it behind a 12 second Saleen. What a joke, are these Miata guys as delusional as the rest of the ricers? I guess that the $50,000 price tag on the Saleen included a windshield sticker and ground effects.

Hey,
No joking, there are a few Miatas around here running 13's NA. Of course they are the ones with the 5.0 Mustang motors. Too bad it screwed up the handling. Have any of you seen the pictures of the engine compartment. Talk about a tight fit!!!

Take Care,
Dave

If your dad has twin turbo then he must be running a v8 or v6, and IMO that's not a miata anymore. Simply the shell of a miata with a much bigger engine. If you put a mustang engine in a Miata and race a real Mustang then you're racing mustang muscle against mustang muscle. You're literaly bending over for ford! (In the engine compartment) Might as well admit defeat at the line.

Rage, these guys were actually putting the 5.0 in the hatchback of the fesivas like the old bugs with rear wheel drive. Made the little critters front ends awful light. Imagine getting out run by one?
