Betty 10 Rice 0
So i am driving into work this morning just cruising along, when low and behold i see this riced up gs300 in my rear view mirror, he sees me and begins to accelerate, since i was just cruising along he managed to blow right by me....
so i drop betty into 4th gear and wind her up....so as i watch the gs300 slowly stop moving away, i began to reel him in...just like a fish...slowly but steadily i reel him in....i can hear his fart pipe squealing like a pig as he is trying ever so hard to keep his distance but Betty is having none of it and i close in and pass him....its such a wonderfull sight seeing the dismayed and confused eyes of another ricer Ricer: "How can this be happening i had 5 car lenghts on him???!!" So as Betty is passing him....i load the final round and shift into 5th Betty Growling out at 4,800 RPM and Whoosh i pass by.... Traffic comes up fast and i slow down and then watch Mr Ricer catch up and pass but just as quickly have to slam on his brakes before he became a permanent fixture to the rear end of the large semi in front of him... Tee hee....Betty and i cruise on to work.... Betty 10 Rice 0.....

Good race. Congratulations. I would love to race your car before you go and get the 351 and supercharger installed, but I can understand if you want to keep your record unblemished.

not to sound suspicious...no insult intended here but i find it convenient that you race and beat a lexus a day after i show up...
BUt good job tho the GS300 really isnt a car for racing its more of a cruiser, now the GS400 will give you a bit more of a runf or your money. Now if we got the Japenese version of the GS300 (2jzgte) it might have been a fun race. What exactly made it riced out btw?

Yeah, the GS300 is far to heavy for that 2jz-ge. The GS400's on the other hand have quite a bit more power and the GS430's are even better(no more power but more torque and wider powerband). Both 400 cars are low 14 second cars while the GS300 is a mid 15 second car at best.

I thought damn SD is small but is it that smalll... well lets start with the 10ft wing on the back of the car along with the 40ft wide pipe add a couple of pounds of stickers and i certify that as rice a roni....

argh.........i hate toyota engine codes.........
at least hondas and nissans are semi-logical............. b16blah,blah,blah is a 1.6..........b18blah, blah, blah is a 1.8....etc sr20det is a 2.0 with a single turbo...........rb26dett is a 2.6 with twin turbos.........etc toyotas: i've got no clue what is going on

Ok, i'll break some of Toyota's code down...
There is no displacement notification in the code, but you can basically get everything else from the code. 2jz-ge is a series 2 motor in the jz family....g indicates dohc and e is fuel injected. 2jz-gte is the turbo version of the same motor. 2zz-ge is the motor found in the Celica GT-S while the 1zz-ge is the base motor. Honda is simple but there is no notification of whether it is fuel injected or number of cams. b16a1 is a b family motor with 1.6 liters of displacement. The a tells us that it is the basic model and 1 tells us the series. Nissan is a combination of both. rb26dett is a rb family motor with 2.6 liters of displacement..d indicates it is dohc, e says that it is fuel injected and tt means that it is twin turbo.

Hehe yea engine codes are fun i can get into Isuzu if you want. im well versed in those too. Or how about mitsubishi? Daihatsu?
I know a lot of them. oh BTW SR20DET and RB26DETT= Nissan. Ill lay down the most common Toyota codes for you Start with the V8's. 4.0L V8 (SC400 GS400) 1uzfe- most overbuilt motor on earth. 4.7L (landcruiser) 2uzfe 4.3L (new Tundra, SC430, LS430 and GS430) i never rember this but imw orking on it its similar to the others tho The common 6cyl is the 2jz which came in 4 forms, the N/A 2jzge which came in the SC300/GS300 and IS300 as well as the N/A Supra came in non vvt-i and in 1998+ gained VVT-i Then you have the 2jzgte or the twin turbo motor. aka MK4 Supra TT, Soarer 3.0L upgrade in japan and the JDM GS300. Of course there is its cousin the 1jzgte (2.5L) tho it lost displacement it gained a lot of RPM. then you have the endless supply of 4cyl 4age 4agze(supercharged) 3sge and 3sgte are the most common 4 bangers.

The 4.3 is the 3uz I believe....don't quote me on that though...but it is in the same family and parts are interchangable...2uz block with 3uz heads would be a nice little swap into a mk1 or mk2 don't you think lex?

Weak? ironic you call the 1 2 and 3?, uzfe engines weak.....
the fact that the 1998+ 1uzfe makes 290hp is DOHC and .6L less thant he modular motor.(not flaming ford) Guys in Australia are building these things as TT 1200hp Daily drivers. And for such a weak motor i find it funny that they are using stock shortblocks.... and deck plates to drop the compression a bit more. As i said before the 1uzfe is the most overbuilt motor on earth i was not joking. ask anybody that deals with them and they will say the same thing. To prove this point again there are quite a few 1uzfes that have 1million miles from being test cars and they still run like new.

oh ok, thats cool.
I do agree with you tho Inferno the 2uzfe 4.7L with the 3uz Heads wuold be one powerful freakin motor. id guestimate it at 350hp easily without any mods.

Camry?
If the ES300 is just a Camry, can the GS300 or IS300 be much ahead. Aren't stock SC300's like 15 second cars? Even stock SC400's aren't really very fast are they? (mid 14's?)
Granted an SC300 with a twin turbo Supra engine swap with 500+ whp is fast as already documented. Rev

Yes and no. the ES300 is V6 FWD. where as the IS300, SC300 and GS300 are all I-6 (2jzge) rwd.
THe SC300 automatic (all Years) stock the best time i ahve seen was 15.2 as far as the 5spd (1992-1997) the best actual time ive seen was a 14.8 but yea on a consistant basis the SC300 5spd is a low 15 car. the GS300 only came in auto but its a mid to high 15. As far as the SC400, its main problem was weight (3700lbs rounded up) but with the 5spd automatic it could haul its overweight butt to mid 14's consistantly. not fast but pretty good. I admit that the US nameplate of Lexus (which doesnt exist anywhere else) is a luxury moniker that likes to play in the Sport arena a bit with its 300 cars. SC300 and IS300 now which were/are avail with 5spds. The Toyota Soarer 3.0L (SC300) cam in japan the same way it came in the US with the obvious differences, but some dealerships offered the 2jzgte as an upgrade though them. THe fastest factory version of the Toyota Soarer is of course the only one we didnt get. the Soarer 2.5GT-T, powered by the 1jzgte making a rated 280hp (310 actual) the Main reason for not bringing it over was fear of taking away sales from the Supra TT. Mainly because the Soarer 2.5GT-T in japan was the equivalent to 10 grand Less than the Supra TT (Currency rate in USD was $27,000 base for the Soarer 2.5GT-T) and the Soarer was just as fast.

14's
I do think that I was mistaken maybe in an earlier post about my son's SC430. I do believe these are high-mid 14 second cars. But there aren't any stock faster ones in the USA are there?
I think maybe my wife's ES300 will run high 15's. Maybe I'll G-Tech it if I'm bored sometime. Rev

No not in the US. the fastest Stock Lexus is the 1998-2000 SC400 that ran a stock 1/4 of 14.3-14.5 (from what i see)
