Default going at it with a zo6!

Havent posted in a while, really dont drive my car anymore, but my wife left town a couple weeks back.
So I thought I would head toward the track, it was already late so i left the slicks at home, boy did i regret that.

Still had fun though, lined up with 01-02 ish zo6, 96 degree south tx night, both of us sat in the lanes and were running on the warm side, finally we ran, and to my surprise, I ran a 13.2 107 to his 13.0 109, i was at his door all the way down, on my 235/60 firestones.

So I pulled up and talked to him, he thought it was a good run, so he wanted to go again, me in the other lane.
I lost traction bad in 2nd gear, so he ran away that time for a 12.9@110, (ricers leaving water on track)
I thought those cars were faster? pretty stock? but i still left there with a grin knowing on slick's, i would have destroyed a 40k car with my 5k$ car, and 100k plus on the odometer........later guys.

Awesome. Love to hear good race stories.

Vet's are nice cards, but its cost has always been its downside. If you take the difference in price from a Mustang to a Vet and stick that money into Mustang upgrades you'll mop the floor with it and then some.
