Post SATURDAY.....Carlsbad

I know this isn't much advance notice, but I'm just letting everyone know that myself and a couple of local stangers will be at the track in Carlsbad this saturday. If anyone wants to meet up with us, let me know. The more the marrier!

Ed,
If you recall the post I made in your topic, I said I'd be there if I figured out the problems I was having. Well unfortunately the car didn't get finished until Monday night. So now that it's running 100%. I figure that I'd better go before something else breaks.

I'm already going to Irwindale this Sunday for the Street Legal series. My 5.0's broken so I'm taking the Lightning instead.

Thanks Ed. The LX is kinda a cluster "F". I'm having difficulty smogging it 'cause of the no cats situation. So the tags are expired. The tranny/clutch is still bad, but my buddy Eric from Xtreme Mustang Performance is giving me a quote today for a TKO setup. I just got the Edelbrock heads back from the machine shop, so those will go on when I have time (it will drop the compression from 11 to about 9.4). I'm ordering a set of Weld Pro Stars to mount the McCrearies, which are currently on a set of 4-lug wheels. The rear diff leaks and the diff clutches need replacing. The blower leaks oil due to belt material getting lodged in the seals after a belt throwing incident. AGGGHHH!!!

Well, I got in three runs, the best ET was my second run at only a 14.3 @ 97.16MPH. The best MPH was my on my first run where I ran 14.4 @ 98.03MPH. My reaction times need some definate improvement with my best being a .811. I was running street tires with no weight reduction. I wanted to see what I ran on the street so I didn't even take out the spare tire. It's a good starting point which is what my goal was to get. I know I probably could've squeezed a 14.1 out of it but I couldn't get the launch down and I wasn't powershifting either.
