WS6... FINALLY!
I'd been wanting to run one for soooo long!
I stop at a grocery store to get some trash bags, bread and long necks(you know.. the essentials). I see a fox GT in the lot and pull up in front of it. I get out and notice a new WS6 a few spaces down. I rush in to get the crap I need and get out, I've done this before only to get out and the other car be gone.. This time, I'm right on que! The couple with the GT was actually helping the WS6 put stuff in the car, it was a lady. I hear the girl from the GT couple say "Vortech" and ask her husband about it. They hush as they realize its my car. I start it up and give a little kick, the GT guy looks over a bit. I leave and notice the WS6 is going the same way I'm going! Twin left hand turning lanes and a ricer with bright fog lights comes up on my rear. We take off normal and the WS6 is doing nothing so I speed up to give the ricer a chance to get beside me, he does nothing, plenty of room and nothing! We get to the next light and the lady is smoking her cigarette like she is in the baddest car ever made (I love it when that happens). Light turns and once we clear the intersection she decides its time to say bye-bye to the mustang...NOT! I floor it and the back end side steps(spinning) BIG TIME but I'm still pulling on her abit.. Must have scared her, she backed off. I back off and we are cruising side by side and I shift into second and stab it a time or two. She decides its time to leave me again! I pull about a third of a car on her and hit the rev limiter . Don't know what I was thinking as I rode on it for a couple seconds(still have a 1/3-1/2 car on her, she's not passing either) and then realize... time to shift(DUH!). The mustang just jumps! I just pulled 5 length like it was nothing and the speedo is buried(85 speedo)! I thought that maybe she hit the brakes or something.. she didn't try again after that though. I turn into my neighborhood and notice she lives in the neighborhood across the street. Hopefully I will run into the car again with her ole man driving. I really need some new tires though, spinning at a 20-30mph roll really sucks! Anyhow, the mustang pulls ahead, even with my screw ups. Can't wait til next time!!! ------------------ Rick My 89lx(updated 7/20/2001) [This message has been edited by rbatson (edited 11-09-2001).] |

I know what you mean about "just jumps" probaly due to my crappy stock suspension, i realized how my car just pulls up, hard on a hard shift, i did it going to 4th gr about 97 mph racing a ricer on the higway, it looked like my car raised up high enough to set it on top of his eclipse (not like my car is that fast) but you know, gotta love these stangs btw good killing....
