Dinomite, that kid told you his 01gt was a 5.0? it should be a 4.6, but anyways i have a 13.9 sec car and i can pull those 99-01'gt's from a stop and never look back, but an awesome driver, (which i havent encountered yet) shoud be able to edge me out, like lizard king

Well when I raced the 00 GT I had 3.55 gears and an F303 cam. The car did not respond to the cam though b/c everything else was stock. From driving her car and racing it against cars around here, it would beat stock 87-93 Mustangs by probably 2 to 3 cars in a measured off 1/4 from a dead stop. I had nitrous then too, but of course it wasn't on. I know my car is faster now, but I just want to prove it.

It would be so intensly tight to race against you... My car will hit 13.7 consistently only with the right headlight out (RAM AIR). For street racing, there is no way I'm taking that out,... My car will pull 13.9 consistently with the headlight in... WOW! An F cam with stock heads, intake and inducton! That probably hurt more than helped. My B cam (which is smaller than the F) didnt make a good difference untill I got the TB and MAF. Good luck Mean50.

I'd watch out Lizard King! I've been down there, and I've been up here in MN, let me tell you right now my car lost a ton of HP in the heat down there! Not even funny. It was like I was whippin a dead horse <pun intended> What kinda temps were you guys running in when you got your best times?
I wouldn't doubt a bit my car picks up a couple tenths easy when it gets good and cold out. I'm itchin for a G-tech now hehe. |

Hey Sky, I think you're just trying to cause relationship discord here. "Just go beat her" could get you into the courts in California, hee hee. If she's an X, leave her an X. Check out other '00 GT's and other girls. That's my thought.

Yea unit, i ran my best 13.9 in cool weather about 65 degrees, cool to us anyway, it was kinda damp, and my intake had been iced down, but i dont look forward to hot humid summer, i could swear my car gets so sluggish, it feels like it lost 50hp

Hot weather makes my car feel sooo slow. When I ran 13.2@106 on a 105 degree day my car felt so slow, I wondered if it was gonna pull a 14. I got to the end and saw 13.2, i was holy **** !

Sky I looked at your videos, they were cool and your car seemed strong. What kind of tire are you running b/c they don't hook worth anything. On the street you would get burned b/c you would get pulled off the line a couple of cars. I used to be able to get everyone off the line, now that I have all the mods I had to get better tires and launch easier.
If my ex drove her car then I know I would smoke it. I am putting the tranny back in my car tomorrow and I will try to catch her out and play with her some. I will let you know how it goes |
