The rape of a Mustang!
I was on my way back home after work last night. I get off the highway and there is very clean yellow Mustang GT (87-93) in front of me. I follow him for a mile or two. It sound bone stock (Is that even possible... a stock Mustang? ). After a while we are finaly side by side at a stop sign. I take off slowly waiting for him to punch it from a roll. He finally did it. Laaaaaaaag, booooooooost, wheel spin, 8000rpm, BANG 2nd gear is in. I keep my concentration on my 2 millions gauges. Here comes 8000rpm again. Shift 3rd gear.
I look next to me. He is not there. I look in the mirrors. He is a good 3-4 cars back. So I stopped. His first reaction was "Do you have a TypeR in there?" I told him I have a turbo and bla bla bla. Then he told me his car isnt running right and he can't really push it. (typical ricer excuse). He then told me he also have another Mustang and it will run 12s this summer. (hahahahaha) I gave him the thumb up for is clean ride and thats it. That was my story of the day.

You own a 2000 civic and you're calling someone else a ricer when he owns a stang?

I did not call him a ricer. I said it was a typical ricer excuse.
And I don't see why he could'nt be a ricer if he owns a Mustang. Its all in the attitude.

The turbo is a Mitsubishi 18G and I have a custom intercooler made with Spearco Core.

I am running 5-6 psi right now. I want to run it safe because I want to make sure I can drive the car all summer. I am planning to rebuild the internals this winter.

I'm not denying his win or the moronics of the stang owner, I just find something wrong with a civic owner calling a stang owner a ricer.

I just helped my buddy install an intercooled Greddy turbo kit on his '99 Prelude. He's running 6psi for now, but my stang is still faster because he has an auto and it takes him forever to get in the powerband.
How much does your Civic weigh? With your trap speed it would be a good race against my stang except you'd probably be a little hurtin' off the line.

I would say about 2650-2675 lbs with the turbo kit.

Aaaaaah. If his car was hurting then why'd he even try to race you in the first place? That's a bunch of bull. If I know my car isn't running right, you think I'm gonna race someone and embarass my poor stang when it was not able to give it's full potential. Nope. Nice kill, Special K.
A friend of mine in a '92 Z28 got beat by a boosted MR2. Nice looking car too. Not too many respectable imports around here though so it's refreshing to see one or hear about one every once in a while.

Well I drove the Mustang for a couple of years. Then I got tired of having to pay for two cars. Gaz, insurance, storage for winter, winter car always broken, etc. I also wanted to buy a brand new car. No more problems, warranty, peace of mind.
I had a tight budget. My 3 choices at the time were. Golf 1.8T, Sentra SE w/ Sport Package, Civic SiR. I bought the less expensive of the bunch. I spent a year bone stock. Then I bought an Cold Air Intake. Then the next year I bought shocks and springs. Now the car is 3 years old and the warranty is over so its fun time.
