thanks to all of you for making me feel welcome(even though i'm a soldier from the general's camp) i have been on other boards that are brand specific for my car and usually come away about half mad. you guys are all right(even if you drive fords)
hope that you all are like me, you just love fast modified cars from every camp! keep it between the yellow lines and hope we meet at a traffic light!

As long as the conversations are good (99% of the time), it's all good here . Hey, I see you have a Wrangler, do you like it (or beat on it)? And have you put some accessories on it, e.g. chrome rear view mirrors, etc.?

no prob man, its always nice to meet another intelligent camaro owner. hey, IMO, we domestics gotta stick together against all the forces of "rice

Btw, is your camaro an 35th aniversary edition? the last years of the f-body were nice ones. jus don't know why they scrapped em when they got the look right. my ex gf 'dad bought one an she said its like 380 horses. i dunno, I doubt its that many, but it can still give my car a run.. for now anyways.. any specs for the 02 SS 35th besides magazine type tests?

hey not just domestics...most of us dont like rice and unfortunatly ,it's spreading to all brands, like a god damn disease..my neighbor has a 99+ GT with the roush stage 1 on it and clear tail lights...(honestly doesnt look too bad...) but,no power adders at all,and IMO if your gonna drive a car like that you should have the *** to back it up...

You're not the only Camaro guy to post here

I used to post here all the time, this is a good place full of nice people, well at least that's been my experience here.

Thumbs up

well good to meet you all! my ss is a 35th anv. as are all the 02 cars, mine is not the gaudy stickered up version though. it took my employer 2 months to get their hands on it for me. they were not allocated any more after the first 3 (they were sold before they got there) i lucked out and got my color, arctic white, and it was exactly like i wanted. its loaded out with every available option from gm(though not every option from slp who actually modifies the cars) my last 4 cars have been white,i just like it i guess.
my wrangler started out as a 4cyl 5spd with 4.10's and a soft top. i got tired of its lack of power and decided a v8 would give it a boost. i installed a 94 5.7 from a wrecked chevy trk and a 700r4 auto tranny from another 4x4 chevy. i changed the input shaft in my stock np231 transfer case to one from a chevy s-10(they use the same case for some yrs) and used a stock fullsize trk adapter. it was done with all gm parts and was a lot cheaper than if i had used adapters from the aftermarket. its a definet sleeper man! i have not run it yet but i feel 14.00 flat ought to be about right. i am gonna do an axle flip and 35"s before the summer gets here. i love my jeep yall!!!

sounds like a nice jeep for some wheeling.

any 4 wheeling pics of it?

are you still running the stock axles? i wouldn't think they would hold up too long with the extra torque of the 350. my friend has a cj-7 (i think that is what is, not up on all the models), and the stock axles were the 1st to go

i dont have a digital cam. yet, but i have a good friend that does. i'll see if i can get some pics downloaded. its still got the stock dana 35 in the rear with a factory trac-loc(limited slip, very similar to the one in mustang 8.8's) and the dana 30 front. the frt should be ok because i'm not rock crawlin', but i worry about the rear every time i launch it at a stop light actually a simple swap for the rear and what i will do if i break it, is put in a ford explorer 8.8 rear maybe even a late one with disk brakes. its only 3/4 inch shorter than the stock dana and the wheel bolt pattern is the same. all you have to do is weld on new spring perches in the right location. i know when i put on the 35's that the rears days will be numbered, i guess i should already be lookin'. the hardest part of the swap was the wiring,OMG it was a mess. took me 3 weeks working in my spare time to get everything working. chrysler engineers never intended for chevy engine controls and assorted electronics to be combined with there stuff but everything works like a charm. the tach reads two times what the engine is actually turning, but there is a gizmo that i read about to splice into the harness to correct that. it was a good swap that i'm very proud of and very happy with.
