rematch results with the audi s4 and 99 ls1 trans am are in!
We'll we went to cruisers last night and went to a side street in the valley and raced! the only thing that sucked was it wasn't a full 1/4 mile but longer than an 1/8th for sure. well the first race with the audi he whole shotted me again but i was actually reeling him in pretty good! Our second race he missed 3rd gear and i flew by him like he was standing still. Our 3rd and final race i got a real good launch and we were dead even through the top of 3rd! the cool thing is he turned his boost up from 10 lbs to 15 lbs,put 100 octane gas in it, added some racing bypass valve things and put a short throw shifter in! He said he has friends with the same mods as him and they are running very low 13's to high 12's! So I think my cams definately helped
I raced the 99 ls1 and i pulled a couple cars on him in first and second, and 3rd, i could tell I was still pulling him slightly! So we raced again and this time i even let him have a little jump beings i was on drag radials and he had street tires! I still past him and beat him by a couple cars! Oh yea the audi raced a brand new 01 cobra and got him by a couple cars too. the audi definately had the advantage on this track as it was fairly short and he has AWD! We are going to try and go to lacr just so we can run a full 1/4mile. even though our times will suck there! all in all it was a fun night of racing Leon ------------------ 96 stang, ported 99 heads, 01 bullit intake, 99 cams,Steeda power pullies,Steeda timing adj.,Kirban adj.reg.,Pro-m 87,24#inj.,Twin 57mm t/b,BBK longtube headers,Bassani x-pipe w/cats, Dynomax ultraflow catback, home depot ram air, k@n, 373's,cobra brakes, fms spings, lakewood 90/10's and 50/50's tri-ax shifter. 271.3rwhp 302.3rwtq best et 13.80 |

Good runs!
I think its time to "even" things up a bit with that Audi. Go get a nice Vortech and slap it in. All the boost upgrades in the world ain't gonna help him then... ------------------ Adam "Hammer" Packett: Moderator, Gulf War Veteran Holy Moses... yea everyone pretty much knows what everyone has. It's a small get together and it's all for good fun Yea i was really impressed with that car, it looks pretty light too so I'm sure that helps! I would get a blower but it will cost $3500 for that and then another $3000+ a few weeks later when it blows one of my hypereutectic crap pistons! I still have a stock bottom end and with my compression ratio over 10 to 1, I know it will die fast Trust me i would love to go from 270rwhp to around 400+rwhp but i want to be prepared for it to die! If i ever save enough $$ that would be sweet though!

Hey 46 stang, Last night I posted a new thread right after I raced my buddies s4. And this morning when I logged on I saw your race with an S4. I just wanted to ask a couple questions. Do you know what the hp is for a stock s4? Also Do you know what they should run in the quarter?
