Default 1st time at track.....my times

I went to the track tonite for my first time for a best of:
14.42-1/4
.802 - reaction
2.27 - 60 ft.
96.59 mph

Not bad i guess for my first time but i still need to work on my 60ft. times. By the way i was using ET streets.

deff get some gears, unless you want power, then ide go heads cam intake.. heres my ex..: i was turning 13.3s with 2.2- 2.3 60ft and 308 gears... when i just added my 373s on my very 1st run with them, i cut a 2.000 and ran a 12.85. gears are going to get you out the hole faster imo. specially with a DR. i use nittos. hope this helps.

Those are some awesome times. You do really need to get gears though. The difference will freak you right out. I was running 14.8's and with 3.73's I ran a 14.0 and thats the only thing I changed. The launch will be a bit different but 2 or 3 runs and you'll be hooking up no problem.

That's pretty good for your first time out. I agree your 60 ft time is a little slow for ET streets.

My very first time out I had a best 60 ft. time of 2.33 with falken 245/50/16 street radials. I was not happy with the 2.73 gears so two days later I bought 3.55s. Next time at the track I pulled a best of 2.08 but I was still loosing alot of lowend because I could only launch at 1500rpms or lower. I than bought a pair of used BFG 255/50/16 drag radials that looked like slicks and busted of a best of 1.90 60ft. It took me a few races to adapt to the drag radials though, I now launch at 4000rpms with a little tire spin. I also have a caspers electronics throttle enhancer and loosen my swaybar everytime I run.

89 GT 5spd.
1.90-60ft.
5.743-330ft.
1/8-9.001 @ 76.13mph

my car would bog down when i got a pretty good launch, i guess because i dont have enough hp or something. I was gettin some base times before i start puttin money into the car.
