I'll go with mid 13's around 103 too.

I ran mid-high 13's @ 102-103 with a stock long block, GT-40 intake, exhaust, 3.73's, etc...

mid 13's would be GREAT, for now..... Been a while since I've owned a performance car... The old saying 'use it or loose it' is true....

Gettin excited with the idea of punishing some 'wanna-be's'..

PS. got my second kill last week on a 9* corvette convertible, (first kill was a 99 chevy PU with a performance chipped 350).

99,800+ on the mustang and she still killed a vette and a truck (I know not top of the line but i especially like seeing the vette freaks cry, the dealer told em it was a hot car, NOT!!!)....

I dont think you give enough info to give an accurate guess but I am gonna say you will run a 14.0-14.2 @99 to 101mph.

If you have slicks and a 5 speed I think you would maybe run a 13 something.

Its hard to guess at things like this if you are @ sea level 13's shouldnt be a problem. Good luck

Bring it on...the only thing 84 about it is the body from what he has given info wise....84's are lighter than 87-93's too. Sure you want to keep that bet? I'll be in Tulsa in a couple of weeks and have no problem picking up my cashola.

Yeah do0d 4.10's will help alot. I'm anxious to see what you run, you have to post it up here man after you run it. I didn't think the 89 heads would fit an 84 without different pistons? I read that in my latest mag I believe. It's real hard to guess E.T.'s. You really don't know what you run until you get out there and actually run it. But all aside good luck, and I bet your pretty pumped about gettihg the motor in huh? I would be. See ya.

now i will agree with saleen on this as far as weight.. i have a 84 coupe and on the door it reads 2867.. now given this was a 4 banger.. i am not sure what it will weigh with my mods plus it has no tank but a 16 gallon rci cell... no back seat two kirky alum seats.. all deading material is gone all wires that used to exsist are gone just the ones need to run and have lights are left.. I also agree with the other on knowing what your other plans on for the motor all stock rebuild whats the compression nitro? what u gonna do?? that would help greatly.. i have no room to talk i am hoping for mid to high 11s with my combo but i know i will probably see mid 12s

Red face

OK I re-read the article, and it was a guy writing in bout his 86 GT, and it went like this, in order to install a larger cam it will be necessary to fly-cut the pistons or install new ones with the proper valve reliefs. And then it talked about heads. It's on pg. 38 o the July issue of MMAFF.
