Post Ordered my parts, 306 or 347?

I ordered my Harwood 4 inch cowl hood, PRO 5.0 shifter, BBK strut tower brace, BBK subframe conn., and moroso battery relocation kit w/cables. I'm basically getting it ready for the new motor. I want to use NOS(just sumthing about purging it) =P I'm leaning towards D.S.S. 306 built for NOS, or a 347 built for NOS. Any input?

If you want to squeeze a big shot go with a 306 w completely forged internals. From what I have read and heard, 347's arent supposed to have any more than a 150 shot. And thats supposed to be pushin it. The 306 will be more durable and be able to take the abuse of the nitrous much better.
I am starting my own 347 project very soon as well. Im looking at all motor though, with high compression pistons and 58cc AFR heads. Good luck with yours and keep us informed

If its ALL forged and installed with the correct gaskets and torque specs, you should be able to squeeze 300 hp somewhat reliably with the right fuel/cpu setup. You might even be able to get more but it probably wont last very long. Again, I have never done this myself but Its what I have read and heard from others. That should get you a good 10 sec Qtr!

I've heard that after about every 50,000 miles a 347 has to be rebuilt cause they start to burn oil. Because when the pistons come down they don't come down straight then kinda angle off near the bottom do to the large crank. Just my .2 cents.

Yeah I have seen some wicked things with 347's and a big shot of N2O. This guy ar TRS(bastards)balooned his Intake from a 200 shot, and broke 5 of his top rings. I'd stay with a DSS 306. You will have a screamer then

I DEFINATELY DO NOT WANT A REBUILD EVERY 50,000! I was leaning towards 306 anyway. Appreciate it guys.

The 306 sounds good to me but if I were you I'd be looking at the 331s. I think they are better balanced than the 302s.. Thats why I bought one to go with my blower. I expect to get 100k out of it.
