Humiliation of vette almost not mentioning!
Well, I finally got a chance to race a vette. My buddy w/ his new yellow '01 vette that I wrote about 2 weeks ago ca around this past weekend We planned on doing a best of 3. After the first run (I was ahead by so much I shut it down mid 3rd)he wasn't interested in another 2 runs. I was REALLY surpirsed (he's a decent driver).....I thought they were faster.

The VP of Technology told me he would race me with his older vette. He bragged and bragged about it. Well when I got my Bullitt Mustang I took him for a ride. When he got out of the car he said the race is off. He said he would never ride with me again. I still want to race my husband: bullitt against bullitt - I bet I can beat him. ------------------ 2001 Bullitt Mustangs #702 & #1880. I haven't seen any Bullitt's riding around......and you have 2? Wow, good for you guys. I know, I shouldn't have had any problems w/ this vette, but it being the first vette, and a VETTE, I didn't know what to expect, although I've seen the #'s on it.

Sky, it looks like I have shed some extra poundage by giving up some things you want to keep (rear seat/AC/hood). What elevation are you running at? The track I go to is probably only about 350'asl. Did you run that 12.5 on streets/slicks? It definately wasn't on the juice though.......have you "sprayed" it at the track yet - that should get you into the 11's, no?

I havnt sprayed yet at the track. Yeah, the 12.55 was on slicks, at a pretty low track. I was also running a short belt, but I dunno if it helped much if any.
I did lose the back seat, but it seemd to weight 15-20lbs at the most. Still got A/C though. And the stock hood. But I do have race seats. Can't wait to see what you run on the juice....that should be a real nice time. That would've been the first thing I did if I got NOS. My time was w/ BFG DR's..... don't really know how much they helped as spun just as much, or little that is, as on streets. Me......I can't wait to finish up all my mods so I can get my s/c. 1 day......hopefully soon.
