My truck vs. 86'300zx non turbo
The fast and the furious even got to my brother about two days after he sees the movie he rushes out and buys a 86 300zx.
It is a nice car I tell him cause it is and then he starts telling me about all of the hondas that he has beaten with it and then states that he bet that it could take my truck wich is a 00'GMC sierra regular cab short bed with a 4.8L V8 270HP. And of course being the instagator that I am I just laugh and say yeah right. After weeks of trash talking yesterday after work we raced 5 times and damn it was close He would take me off the line and then soon as my truck hit 2nd I would just real him in and pass him around 80mph. I beat the little phucker by a car length everytime and somehow he thinks it was a tie not only did he get an import but now he has the ricer attitude to go with it. ------------------ 88 mustang gt convertible bored to 306 BBk equal length headers mac cold air fender kit cowl hood nitto drag radials ford racing clutch flow masters h-pipe 160* thermostat 16 degrees of timing electric fan off 94' t-bird jacobs electronics cap and wires. Buy afer spending 900 to stiffen the car up we had it towed and the guy who took was going to make it in to a race car NEVER EVER seen one that old in the USA!!!! I came with 2.555 in it with a bad turbo in it runs mid 15's with 188HP stock with a new engine and turbo it will hit the 11's makes over 420 at the wheels. Believe it or not the 15.2 my stang runs is pretty fast for the crappy air that we have here. There are a couple of hatch back fox body automatic stangs that run in the 16's I can beat some of them with my truck. When the altitude density of the air usualy varies between 3400ft and 6000 ft on the altitude density meter here at the track. you can count on running 5 tenths to a second slower than what you are supposed to run. 5.0 H0,
I hear you about that bad air. I'm up in Lubbock right now. Haven't had a chance to get out to Idalou and hit the track, but it's comin'. Guess the only thing you gotta love about this thin air is how clean it is...unless it's a windy day...then you can plant a garden in it. --nathan ------------------ --silver_pilate '91 GT, Built 306, Wolverine 1087 cam, ported Windsor Jr. Irons, and all the goodies...click the link to the left to see a full list of my mods... I dont understand how so many people run open filter just to gain a fraction of a tenth in this climate. Theres one really good thing about west Texas. It is always really easy to find a race. |
