Fun at Palmdale
Hey everyone, I'm new to this whole website thing, It is fun to see alot of people from different parts of the world all enjoying the same thing that I do : Mustangs!
Anyways, I wanted to see if anyone else has any input on the approximate difference in ET's from say LACR in Palmdale / Lancaster compared to say Pomona Raceway factoring in similar traction and temperature. I ran a 14.7 @ 98mph at Pomona before I changed my transmission and now they are not open anymore for Street Racers. Now I've been going to LACR and since I never ran there with my old tranny, I have no numbers to compare the two. My best time at LACR is a 14.4 @ 97mph. Hope to hear from anyone familiar with the two Strips and any info would be cool! Rock on Mustangs ! ------------------ LX Conv. 5.0L HO, AOD, Fast Fun in the Sun! |

I have heard that the difference is as much as four tenths. But it depends on temperature and barometric pressure as well. You car might hit a fourteen flat at Pomona.

Hey nice to see another local person here. Us here in So Cal get together and go to the track now and again. Were going next weekend you should join us.
LACR is crap! I hate that track. I ran 7mph slower there than at pomona. I barely broke high 13's. Other people have told me the same. Your down atleast 4mph from the altitude alone. Not to mention it has a bad head wind and is slightly up hill. Come with us to Carlsbad and your call will fly. i agree with sky lacr sucks if you want to get low times. i ran a 14.36@98mph there, next week at bakersfield i ran a 13.80@103mph. if you have slicks carlsbad is good for times, with street tires it's real hard to get traction. take it easy
