Of course the "150 shot curse" hit again sat, when I gave the guy the paperwork I was opening my bottle...well he "checks" the mounts and pulls on the bottle. Now I used cheap plywood to mount the brackets to it and because I didn't use washers, the bolts came though the freaking wood! They made me yank the bottle before I could race...I was pissed.
Got 2 dry runs out of the way (14.7/14.8) and said screw it...I snuck the bottle back in. ran good off the line, but the n20 wasnt kicking in late 2nd through the rest of the run...ran a horrible 14.01 @97 my best on an 80 shot was 13.6@ 107 I looked at my bottle after and because the stupid brackets were pulled, it had layed it flat (its already on a bad angle so being flat didn't help!) but I had a good time, my parents liked it and I am going back on the 14th to get a FULL DAMN RUN WITH THIS PIG! lol Thats 3 times something happened...(I made sure my lines were tight this time!) sorry so long... |

Damn Ed, that sucks! What bad luck everytime. How come you only ran an 80 shot though? 106mph is damn good for just an 80 shot. W/ some traction thats deep into the 12's.
I wanted to go so bad... how crowded was it? How was the temp? Who else was there? It was my first time to Carlsbad and traction was a problem. I ran two runs 14.7/14.3 and then I let my friend try one run in my car and he got a 14.2(better driver).I know my car(or I) can do better than that but i'll just take it as a learning experience.

Oh by the way, for those of you who were out there saturday, my friend was the one who tried to stage with his rear wheels. It was so funny that we got it on tape.

We may have, but by the description of your car, I don't think so. I don't remember talking to anybody with a convert. stang. But next time we all roll out I'll be sure to speak. ------------------ 00'GT,(S281 clone),3 chamber flows,K&N filter,BBK underdrive pulleys & 3.73 gears. No time slip as of yet(est.13.7-13.9) |
