Here's one, soon after I got my 93'coupe, an a**hole of an ex-friend starts runnin his mouth about his 93 VW GTI 4-cylinder. I had noticed my car hadn't been runnin right since it came back from my friends house to adjust the timing ( 3 degrees people- 3 degrees of timing) N E Wayz - He see's me on the road beside me he starts jumpin trying to get me to race. I sure didn't want to make this kids ego any bigger with my car screwed up ( 3 ******* Degreez)Stupidity takes over and I downshift and hit it, my car takes a sh*t right there in the road, I could of ran faster. So theres my rep - lost to a 4-cylinder. God I Hate VW's.
PS- One month later found out about my timing-try to kill my friend- Dont let friends work on your car cause you had to be at work, 15 degrez - much better.. Ego kid moved to Wyoming yellin about how he killed a 5.0 the whole way..... Man I hate VW's and kids with ego's bigger than their car..... Sorry about the length. --- D |

It was my first race ever at a drag strip.
I lined up with a stock looking Acura Integra that had rims and window tinting. Looked like an easy kill, right? He whooped me like a red-headed step child. I didn't know what hit me at first. I couldn't believe it. He ran a 15.779 to my 15.876! And yes, this was before ram air, sway bar out, battery in trunk and gears on the way. ------------------ '91 LX convertible , T-5, Lakewood driveshaft safety loop,Centerforce Dual Friction, FMS adjustable cable w/quadrant, 3:55's(not installed yet), ported/polished/milled E7 heads, 1.6rr, 1.94/1.60 stainless valves, March Performance Pulleys and A/C Eliminator, short belt, Home Depot ram air, K&N, battery in trunk, removed swaybar, glasspacks w/turndowns, 225/50/16 Re 730's |

Man,
Im driving down the street after the lakers win the champioship, well, this white car flys by, didnt even get a good look at it but was full of guys, i had 2 other guys in my car. I wasnt expecting to race since when i reved my engine he didnt even turn, so at the light i take off a little faster than reg and he gunned it. By the time i try to gun it i figure there isnt any use since he was a good car length ahead. I wasnt too happy about that, more mad than embarrased.
