Default Raced a ZO6

Hey guys...it has been a long time since I posted on here. I had my first race with a ZO6 last night. Wierd....this is the only one out of about 6 I could getto race me since last summer. It was a beautiful black one with chrome wheels (03 I guess??) We went from a stop and he killed me. I couldn't grab, even with my nitto's. He pulled be about 3 cars to 90. He chirped, that was it. We then decided to go from a 30 mph roll....bad news for him!!! I pulled him about 3-3 1/2 cars to about 120 when we both let off. I let off first, then he let off.

Now, my question. I haven't ran my new combo at the track, or even dynoed it yet. He new how to drive, and this car had exhaust for sure...possibly gears, because he was bangin fast. For me to beat one of those that bad to 120, what would you all guess I am running?

Also, I beat a GTS Viper on the highway by about a 1/2 car to about 110...I didn't start pulling on him until about 80. Later!

I would say a high 11 @116+. If what you say is correct.

Dang...that is kind of disappointing... I was hoping for 119-120. My old 306 with a powerdyne made 450 rwhp...I have a S-Trim now showing 10#. Don't the ZO6's run 115-116? Vipers 118-120?

Just wondering.

My motor without the blower made 286 rwhp. That is with TFS Heads, Intake, custom blower cam, rockers, 77 mm mass air, 70 mm tb, and long tubes with MAC's.

116 is just a little low for my acceptance. Thanks for the input though.

Well a stock GTS usually turns around 116 trap speeds so that would be pretty close...
Where were you shifting it?

Yes. Yes it has been. I remember you used to post some of the best kill stories. And once again, another good one. I would LOVE to see the look on the Viper owner's face after you pulled his car. . One thing though, I've only seen a couple of pics of your car. Any videos?

Anyways, happy slaughtering....

No videos....between the car, bike, and wife, no money for the little things

I am going to dyno the new combo this week. I do have a digital camers, so I will get the dyno sheet posted as soon as I get it on here....as far as the look on the viper owners face...it was like one of those "whatever, I have a 70K car, yours is 10." looks....besides, if he wanted he could have a 150K 800 vanom that would handed me my *****. This was probably a stock GTS. I spend 5000 to get a car that beat his 70K stocker....although 15K vs 70K for 500 hp and 120 mph???? I would take mine over his any day.
