Post "You gotta run it"

I am at my GF house when I get a call from a friend he says I have to head out and race his friends car, I said I am with my GF but we can do it some other time Then two minutes later more of my friends say I have to come out and race this car, the the GF says lets go !!!! So were off I arrive at the race spot and there is a clean 89 LX hatch Auto 3.73 full exhaust, pullies, "other little things". He ask how we are going to start the race I said you go then I will go on your go, so he nails it, then I nail it with me spinning bad shift to second and still spinning now a car or so back finally I hook and begin pulling I pull even by third, and fourth I drive away.

So we line them up going the other way this time from a 1,2,3,go start. This time we are side by side out of the hole with him hooked and me still spinning, then I hook in second (already up a half car) then I shift to third and begin to drive away, I finish 3 or so cars ahead.

We meet up and he says he think the bottle went dry in the middle of the first run, he says he is running a 175hp shot!!! I don't dought that the bottle went dry but he acted like he was not sure, how are you not sure if you are missing 175hp?? He seemed cool but we did not get a chance to talk wanted to split before we got any unwanted attention.

oh, the one bad thing about NOS.

Thumbs up

Two nice kills, a Cobra and a 5.0. Can't complain man.

Are you sure it wasn't a 75hp shot? If it really was a 175hp shot he's wakko!

Either way, N20 goes dry and you left him with another 20lbs of dead weight in the trunk hehe.

If he went to race, and knew it was set up the bottle was probaly full...at least i would go with a full bottle to a set up race.

I am pretty sure he said it was a 175 shot, cause I asked him if he still had the stock short block and he said yes. I know he was up to visit my friends and they went out and screwed around before we raced so maybe he used up all his juice showing off! I will get a chance to talk to my friends today and find out more about the stang.

Yeah, yeah we know you don't have the guts for that, heck you can hardly control the 150hp you have now Heck a 175 shot would over double your horse power. You think that old 86 can take that kinda power Last I heard you resorted to duct tape to hold the tranny together

I beat a stock motored mustang with a big shot. He had a gear, it was a rebuilt 302 (306) with a main girdle. I don't know what jet he was running, but I was barely pulling on him in third gear. [b]exgmguy[b] knows what guy I am talking about. He actually knows who he is, and is the one who told me about his mods. I thought I was getting beat by a stock mustang, until I saw the SPRAYN Michigan plate at the turn around.

With a gear, pullies, exhaust, and K&N I raced a bone stock AOD LX hatchback with a 150 shot and beat him. Anything can happen.
