My truck is only a regular cab F-350 4x4 PSD and it weighs 6800lbs with 40 gallons of fuel. So that it why they aren't racecars. But do what slprlx says hook a big load and let it rip.

Hey Lizard King you up for that. You got a Class IV hitch on the back of your Mustang. I can get my trailer with about 10,000 lbs and we can have a go at it in the 1/4 mile.
Just kidding man. Anyways they are made for one thing only, and that is for being worked for 350,000 miles and then get an engine rebuild and work it for another 350K.

88GT stock shortblock, ported GT-40 iron heads, Edlebrock Performer intake, 24# inj, Pro-M 75mm Bullet MAM, 3.73, hurst short throw, F-303, electric fan, alum rad, FMS HD clutch, R134a ac conversion, 70mm TB , and some other stuff I probably forgot, best run so far on ET streets is 13.02@106 with a 1.87 60ft Only been to the track once still alot more tuning to do and need more driving experience.(Full body weight GT, full tank of gas, and sway bars connected, gonna disconnect sway bars and dip
