I've seen new Mach 1's at the track run high 14s with a shitty driver (of course they can hit 12s stock with a little traction and some gears). Are you guys going to be on street tires?

A friend ran 13.6 with her 03 Mach 1 Automatic. You racing against 5-speed or an auto? Good luck they are real runners. I want to run one real bad.

I finally got to do a full 1/4 mile run against my buddy's stock '03 Mach 1 last night. It was late and we got the light on a 4-lane divided highway. Since there were no other cars the light went green sooner than we expected so we both blazed the tires in 1st gear. I have R-compounds and 4.10s so I pulled about 1.5 cars on him through 1st and 2nd. After that he was creeping on me the whole time. He finally passed me at about 105, so I think it was dead nuts as far the 1/4 goes (my car traps about 103 usually).
I'm pretty happy that my car hangs like it does with his given the limited power mods I have. If i don't spin 'em on the launch I kill him up to 60. If we race from a roll on the freeway he starts slowly pulling immediately.

Cool

The Mach 1s have proven very strong out the box .... especially the manuals.

Default Mach 1

I raced an '03 Mach 1, 5 speed, at HRP. He was running about 13.5/103. I got him by a few car lengths but mostly because I beat him out of the hole and kept the lead. Reaction time was what won for me.
