Haven't you had a kill lately?
Listen, i'm disapointed in the lack of kills posted in the past months - have you given up street racing?
C'mon boyz, light' em up! |

I agree with you.....but I think it's hard to come by someone who actually wants to race (I've had that problem). Only 2 races in the last 2 months.....both kills - 454 Chevelle and Camaro SS. Oh well, maybe I'll luck out and get an import w/ a sac this weekend for a little road action.

Heck, I've been without Yellowjacket for over a month! When I finally get it back, I'd probably see a squirrel sitting at a light and start thinking, Hey you little mammal punk... You want some of this?!

I dont have the luxury of getting kills. AND IT SUCKS. Of course right now i'm im the process of changing from the 4 banger to the 5.0 in my latest stang (a '93 notch). But even before I crashed the '90 hatch noone around here would race.
Naturally you would a ricer or two throw a rev at the light but as soon as the light turned the went from bada$$ to granny in the buick on sunday morning. I HATE THAT. If your gonna race-race, if not don't tempt me. I only got the chance to get one kill and it was good, '96 Z-71, 350 auto, three inches of body lift, k&n, that I know of , but it had to have more because this thing was freakin fast for a 4wd. There's more of those type trucks around here than anything. The only other people that really have hot rods are the mid life crisis kinda guys with there c5's and firebirds. There not gonna race because they got the old lady in the car with them. Once I just want to wax a vette, and know the dude got in trouble with momma for racing. Pony power Forever |

I was hoping for some on the way to Wrightsville, but no luck. Didn't even see too many stangs or camaros. Saw a lot of rice though. Raced a V-TECH from the light off of 40 over Market Street. All those stickers and being lowered didnt help him. After that, we just went to Columbia Street and drank some beer and watched the ladies after a cruise around the beach (hafta see the sights!!!!!)

I killed a new C5 Vette convertible a few weels ago. I took him by about a car from the line at a stoplight with a great launch (love those 315s). By the top of first gear, I heard him scream up and his nose was at my door. Shifted into second hard and he dropped back for a second, allowing me to merge in front of him as I ran out of lane.
He obviously would have beat me in a 1/4 mile by the way he reeled me in on top end in 1st, but I did merge ahead of him, so I'll consider it a kill. Unfortunately, this was only his daily driver - he has a new Black SS with a Vortech and purple flame job that I've heard has 500hp. ------------------ 2000GT Atlantic Blue: Cobra R Wheels-17x9 255/40/17, 17x10.5 315/35/17, tubular K-member & control arms, Tokico 5-ways, coil overs, sway bars, strut/shock tower bars, 70mm FMS throttle body, Saleen nose. 79 Pace Car: Maximum Motorsports suspension - H&R Race springs, Bilsteins, rear control arms, chassis bracing, Draglites, 302 w/ Edelbrock Performer intake, cam and 600cfm carb, BBK equal-lengths & H-pipe, 2.5" Flowmaster 2chmbr exhaust, Al Driveshaft, 8.8 trak-loc, TCI C4 w/ 2000 stall, B&M |

I raced that 70's Trans Am that I posted about racing (and beating) again. He had a sb 400 with a carb and some other "Edelbrock stuff" which I don't realy know what he meant by that. Anyways, he said that since I raced him he fixed his carburetor, I don't know what was wrong with it, but now it's fixed, and he got gears. Well, we headed out of town with his dad and brother and my friend. We lined up, 1st gear (55-60 mph for me) we were dead even. The instant I shifted to 2nd (5400 rpm) I pulled a half car-to full car length. I ended up getting him by about 3 lengths again in a quarter mile. Man I can't wait until I get my 3.70s and head to the track. I'm excited!

The racings here in Fayetteville seems to be in a slump now, just like the economy. That and it seems Fayetteville is keeping more cops out alittle longer. Instead of starting the hunt at 5, we have to start around 7 now, thats when the cops thin out consirably.
That and theres been alot going on with Spring break, and all the things at Rockingham that take away some of the would be cruisers. They'll come back. |

Sorry guys, I've been slacking...
The new engine is on the stand right next to the car and I just finished welding the O2 bungs onto the turbo exhaust setup and it goes out for ceramic coating tomorrow. Once this engine's back in, I'll laying the smack back on the competition here with little mercy. I had a race with a silver Lightning that thing was faster than I thought it was going to be. From a dead stop to 100 I only had a car on him and was barely pulling.
It made me feel better when I found out he has beaten up on some Ls1 cars, I have a Lt1 with a few mods. |

You guys want kills? I kill 10 to 15 every weekend. I have a place I go to one night a week where the races are endless from 10 to 1 in the morning. You guys should move.

Killed a mid 80's Camaro. He thought he would steal my lane coming away from a stoplight. He thought wrong. Oh yeah, I was driving my 94 Lightning.
