1-1 against Nova
Hi,
Alright, first race against this nova was from a stoplight, i spun VERY badly, quite a bit of smoke, and i was at his quarter till i shifted and then he pulled a car on me then we left off Round 2, from a stop sign, i get a little bit of a jump, no spinning and a MUCH better start, he was about at my bumber maybe half a car behind ,me when we let off My car is totally stock while his nova has a 350/350 with carb/cam/intake, converter and slide-a-link traction bars, i also was in drive letting the car shift a little early while he was manually shifting running flat out, i think we are pretty even Steven

Sounds like some fun runs. Try working on traction a drop in your 60ft down to a 2.1 (very doable) would probably net you a high 14. Then add gears, shifter and pullies and you would waste his ass.

i have almost no traction with street tires and launching, when i ran that number i was barely on the converter and had to ease onto the throttle, im going to leave the 67 the way it is, still preatty fast stoplight to stoplight, we are building the pickup and im looking at a 67 XR-7 Cougar tomarrow so...

every tenth you shave off your 60 foot is worth two on the big end.
Drop it down to a 1.9 with some sticky tires, and you should run mid 14's

Hi,
According to Mustang & Fords magazine, one 60's mag got a 67 GTA 390 to a 14.95 with slicks and Traction bars, i think i might be able to best that if i got some slicks or ET Streets, but the 67 is retired from the track, our 48 F1 is hopfully going to be a 13 second truck so.... Steven
