Learning to drive the new car by racing an LS1 Z28.
About 7-8 cars are gathered and I just got my Stang. I know it is fast but I have not had the chance to "test" it against anything else yet. The fastest car there is a nice deep blue LS1 Z28. He ran 13.5's with a bad clutch. Few small bolt-on's done. The car is definitely a solid low 13 car and he got his new clutch in. Time to see how the notch will fare.
The owner, Chris is a very nice guy and he agrees to let me see how my car will do against him. I told him what it is supposed to do so he knows he will probably lose but I said, "what the hell, it's good to practice anyway". So we raced twice. Keep in mind I don't really know how to drive my car yet and my shift were shitty, lots of wheelspin and hit the rev limitter too. But I beat him by about 2 cars the first time and maybe 3 cars the second time. Needless to say I was VERY pleased with my car!!! I love the stang. Thanks for reading. Marc |

12.8 at 119 mph. With traction you should be running at least low 12's. Get some drag radials for the street or et streets for the track.

The reason I didn't get drag radials yet is 1st financials and second, they are not good in the rain. The car is very streetable and I drive it anytime, even in the rain if I feel like it. It's still fast enough on street tires to beat most other cars on the road so I am not worried. I will post my new time with the sticky tires as soon as I come back from the track. Plus, this time and trap speed was done on the old spark plugs and a couple of partially burned wires. That's all fixed up now. Thanks Marc

Good Kill! Learn how to drive it and you'll make alot of LS1 owners angry. Is "CASCAR" the Canadian version of "NASCAR"?

I am not sure, it could be. I just came back from the track and ran those CASCAR tires. They are alright. I ran 1.9's 60 foot and netted a best of 12.2 today. They still didn't hook for **** in 1st and 2nd though. I also burned the clutch packs in the rear end, after my 12.2 run I kept running 12.4's and 12.5's but I found out from people I was doing the one wheel peel during my burnouts.
I am very pleased with the outcome today and won't put any more money in the car for a while and just enjoy it the way it is for now. By the way, there was an LS1 that ran a 12.96 with bolt-on's and drag radials. I was the only stang faster than him at the track today. I was also the fastest street legal car there too. Even some of the opened exhaust full tubed out racing cars were running slower than me! Anyway, I don't mean to brag, I just love that car!!!

I actually have 2 cascar tires that i have though about throwing on my car. What size rims do they need? And Cascar is canadas version of nascar. Also how well do they fit in the back of the stangs? I dont have quad shocks and im working on getting SSM lift bars for the back.

They fit fine, they are lots smaller than my stock 285's. I didn't find they hooked that well but they are definitely an improvement over street tires.

What heads are you running on that car?
Also you need to get some suspension to get the 1.6x 60's that your going to need to get that car into the 11's. Skyler

I know, I know... I need suspention but the car drives fine now and I can't afford it. But all in time. The way I see it, I can live with low 12's for now until I have the time and money to put into it. The car runs great and it is strong so I will just enjoy it this summer. Right now (I put the emphasis on that, many fast cars will come out later), I can count on the fingers of one hand the ammount of street cars faster than mine in Ottawa.
