Default Inferno. Race now?!

Sorry this should be a PM, but Carlsbad is open tomorrow and I am avaliable and he hasn't read the PM I sent him.

If you want a piece of me, let me know. Tonight Heck, I'm not even sure if you're still in CA.

I didn't see this thread until today(Saturday). If I left right now, I wouldn't get there until after 12 and I don't know if they let cars in that late to race. I am going to still be in So Cal next weekend after all so maybe next weekend.

Question

'97 Mustang GT vs. '84 Supra! What does each car run in a quartermile? Deuce, I read you run mid to high 15's, is this true? Any times for Inferno's Supra? Those Import guys are slick. Anything to embarrass a V8. Any money at stake or just bragging rights?

We are keeping all the details in pm's so that people don't start talking ****. We'll post the results afterwords.

Inferno, I remember the 84 Supra being pretty quick but I don't remember them being that fast.. then again, I never rode in one either. If your getting that kinda hp out of the mods you list, it will open my eyes. Seriously, if its that close... WOW!

I have a japanese engine swap. It is a 3 liter instead of the normal 2.8.

I did a little research on these 7M-GTE swaps into older Supras. It's a 3.0 L twin cam turbo inline 6 motor. With a 4.10 rear gearset and a HKS F-Con and EVC, one Supra owner ran a 12.7 quartermile. Be careful you're not getting in over your head. Check out www.supras.com/~riemer/gtestory/ and decide if you want to race this guy.

what? 4.30's? what is your axle code? also i wouldnt rely on that rearend of the 84 holding up for much longer if you are going to go with the turbo. but you already knew that.

It has held over 500hp reliably in several cars. Hell, there is one guy making over 700hp and running 9's in the 1/4 in the import street tire class.
