Talking My Brother got a new engine.

You may or may not remember the post from a few months ago about my brothers car "venting" his block street racing in St.Louis at the WFC this year. Last week we finally tore it down to the short block and found that #4 and 8 piston were turned sideways! The Crank was still intact, but the Stud Girdle was bent pretty bad. His new engine came from some guy in Calif. and had never been fired. Its a A4 Block with a 347 Stroker(Scat Crank, Ross Pistons) All ARP everything. We got 2 water pumps(standard and Electric) and a sweet Fabercated Oil pan. We noticed that the Valves on his heads are bent so we shiped them out this weekend. Hope to have it all back together by this Spring. "9.98@136 just isnt fast enough" is what he told me. That was only at 15 PSI on a T-66. He is looking for low 9's once we get the tune down on his Speed-Pro. I will try to get some pictures of both of his engines once i get my computer put back together.

sounds like a sweet motor. 15PSI, you running, a blower or turbo?

Nice choice in turbo...why didn't he go with a bigger turbo though? Would have been the same price and spooled similarly.

The T-66 is from his old cartech street kit. That kit literaly fell apart. He got a turbo technology Race kit but kept his turbo to keep cost down.(the TTI kit cost over 3000$!). He said he will step up to a bigger turbo some time. He needs to upgrade his cage and rear end setup. But first, we just want ot get the damnn thing running

We are thinking of cutting of the back 2 cylinders and makeing a 3.8 out of it. Mabey Baler would want to put it in his mustang.
