Angry parts thieves grrrr!!!!

man ....i hate thieves.......my friend got robed last night, for mustang parts

the guy was building a really neat 90 lx,..he was in the procces of installing a t11 turbo set up............well some peaple broke into the garage where the car was and stole his trick flow heads and his moded out transmission

it really p***** me off becouse the guy's like the nicest guy in the world,he doesn't have a big buget, and he's been scimping and saving to build this car for years..............he was working real hard to put the car together for this season and he was hoping to run tens with it.........

well when he goes to work on it tonight he found the door broken ,his trick flow heads missing and his transsmission missing........they were both worth about 1,600or1,700 each(both had work done to them).........man it's a magor set back for the guy ,he might not be able to afford to replace them for years

well i'm ranting......if anybody local to this area see's any trick flows that seem hot or have the serials removed .....pm me..............i know many here can relate, most of us aren't rich and would be devistated if this happened to them........any info would be appreciated

rage....the owner of the garage had homowners insurance, but it's kind of doughtful that they will cover this type of theft.......other than that ,his car insurance doesn't cover theft
hopfully the police will find some prints and come up with some suspects........it had to be somone that knew the shop and knew what was out there

the guy is devastated.......he was working real hard to get this car running for the season .....on the brite side ,his intake and the 1,600 turbo were in a different location so they didn't get nabed.....it still sucks caus now he has to start over building a set up that can handle the power he wanted to run....it took him a long time and alot of planning to get to where he was with the car, and in one night some idiot shot that plan to h---

grrr!!......i hate thieves

Old Guy: I completely agree with you, dude. Thieves are the scum of the Earth and deserve to be shot on site. My friend had this happen too, and the things we learned from that experience were 1. They almost always come back, given the right 'bait' 2. Someone HAD TO KNOW that those parts were in there and 3. It could even be someone you know. My friend and I camped out all night across the street from his garage, left some nice stuff in front of the garage, and just waited for the bastages to show up again. Sure enough, they showed, and so did we with slingshots & some other choice weapons!!! They ran so fast and panicked that they stumbled into things, cutting up their legs as they ran into the woods. Wasn't too hard for police to identify them, as they were the only kids walking around the neighborhood at 2am dressed in black outfits with the legs torn.

Angry Thieves in the night

Old Guy...

Let me add my voice to the chorus of condemnation for parts thieves; the worst, right along with those that vandalize your car.

Unfortunately, the thieves often turn out to be 'friends' or at least aquaintances, which makes it ever harder to deal with.

Cops don't get too excited over parts theft and it's often hard to find them, unless they come back (great story, Steve) or leave some big clue.

Anyway, I feel real bad for your bud...I think we all can sympathize as we either had it happen to us or know someone who was ripped off like that. It hurts and it stinks and I hope he can recover his stuff - as well as the creeps who ripped him off.
