![]() Recently purchased a 71 Mach 1 project car. 351C 2V, A/t. Car runs good a low speed. When I get to 60+, it starts cutting out. I replaced mechanical fuel pump with electric, ,mounted by fuel tank. Carb has been overhauled. Any ideas?

![]() Im sure you already checked but your symptoms are usually associated with a bad fuel filter. You could also be having a problem with your fuel getting to hot before entering your Carb check the fuel lines and make sure they aren't touching the exhaust or block. Another avenue would be air intake as you go faster you need more air.... Im just throwing up some obvious suggestions I am not an expert by any means.

![]() My feeling is it might be electrical. Especially a worn out, wobbling distibutor shaft. Is the ignition still stock? Might need to upgrade and/or replace ignition. Just another thought.
