89 IROC Z vs. 98 Mustang GT
Ok, heres the deal, my friend has an Automatic 89 IROC Z Camaro that has a 350 with a shift kit, flowmasters, K&N Filters. My Mustang is a 5 Speed w/ Flowmasters & K&N , not too many mods but he wants to race me for bragging rights, do u think i have a chance on winning? Ive never been in an IROC so i dont know.

I think that you could take him if you drive good but your cars should be pretty close in performance.
If he does beat you tell him at least your car isnt a rattling piece of crap the IROC's are a very poor quality sports car IMO.

should be a close race if the iroc is running good. not as many old irocs running at there full potential anymore.
dark5.0 that some b.s. to rag on his car for rattles after he gets beat in a race. that sounds like riceboy mentality. "i may have lost but my car has better build quality". i've seen the interiors of old 5.0's and they do nothing for me (just my opinion), if you want interior fit finish and creature comforts neither cars rank up there worth mentioning. you may not be old enough to remember, but most cars sucked in the 80's, especially when compared to todays cars.
