Silly Prelude, N2O is for real cars
I was sitting at a light waiting to get on I-77 on my way to Charlotte today, when I noticed that the guy in front of me was really checking out the Cobra. I didn't think much of it, and when the light turned green we got on the entrance ramp and almost immediately had to get over. Well, I wasn't being "socially responsible" while I was trying to get over, and I guess he thought that I was wanting to race him or something.
Anyway, as we were getting into traffic, this 18-wheeler was coming up and he slid over to let us in. The Prelude jumped in front of him, and I followed, by now I'm going around 90 in third. I shift into fifth, and begin to slow down. Well, the Prelude didn't like the fact that I was behind him, and he downshifted and hit the gas(NOS). I didn't realize it at the time, but the smell was unmistakeable. I started to laugh when I figured out that he wanted to race. Since I'm not one to let somebody think that they won, I just eased on the throttle and pulled up on him(BTW, I was still in fifth). I moved into the next lane beside him, and looked over at him, he downshifted again, and tried to take off. I just shrugged my shoulders, and pressed the gas to the floor. I admit that he was pulling on me, so I thought I should downshift to fourth. I made my shift, and slingshot-ed by him. I didn't see him much after that. He got off 2 or 3 exits after that. I just couldn't believe that he thought I was running him at the start. It was funny, but I guess you had to be there. Later. ------------------ "Is that a Cobra?" "Yeah" "It's a V6, right?" "Yeah" |

I'm just waiting for the day when I run into one of these guys and see parts of head gasket and intake fall from the bottom of his I-4... Its amazing how few of these guys have ever heard of TUNING.
