Post 98 Snake 1/4 mile times?

Hey 98 Snake, what are your 1/4 mile times?
I have a 97 Cobra just want to see if I'm in the ballpark. Also how much difference did the timing adjuster make? I am considering one. Thanks.

Cool

My best 1/4 time was at Ubly after I just got my Nittos put on, and it was before the cold air and the timing adjuster. It was a 13.39@ 106mph, it was also right after I got there which is a hour and a half drive from my house. That was my second run on the third I broke my shift fork. And I feel I could have run at least a 13.20. Oh ya my 60 foot was 2.1 and I have 3.73 rear end which sucks I whish I had a 4.30. And I would highly recommend the timing adj. I have mine set at 18 degrees now.

Question

Jeezus! Are you serious?!?! 18*?!?!

I have mine set at 16* and I thought that was high considering most Cobra owners have theirs at 14*. Do you have any detonation? What octane do you run?

Lightbulb

After I sold mine, the owner took it to Cecil County track up here in northern MD, and it ran a 12.94 @ 106 (I may be off on the mph by .5 either way). My car had no major power adder on it, just a BBK off road H pipe, MAC underdrives, C+L 80mm MAF, K+N conical filter, Taylor plug wires, Pro 5.0 shifter, and that's all as far as I can remember. She (yes, she) hooked up well from what I heard.

Looking for another Mustang.

Ya I know 18 degrees is alot but I have heard no signs of detonation. I run Sunoco 94 and I also gaped my plugs to .49 stock is .54. T-Bone did that bigger meter give you a nice increase in power? Oh ya that 1/4 time was with out the Timing Adj and Cold Air.
