|  "special" C5 I went out for a little crusing with my wife and did not find much worth playing with. So I am leaving the spot and a C5 convertible is pacing me. He gooses it a little and wants to play. We slow down and I drop into 2nd gear. We both hit it and I walked away instantly. I slowed down and we stopped at the next light, no traffic ahead. He says he missed 2nd gear(oops, happens to everyone) and wanted to go again from a slow roll off the light. He did not want to go from a dead dig because he thought I had too much tire! So we walk 1st out, stomp it and I spin like mad sliding around from 1st, right through 2nd. He pulled about 1.5 to 2 cars ahead by the time I hooked around the top of 2nd gear. I hammer 3rd and catch right up and get a car ahead before I let off at the top of 3rd. I slow down to ask what work he has done because the car sounded pretty stock. I figured he was spraying it. Then he tells me. "It's a 383 stroker!!" Wow, neato. :P It was a pretty strong runner, that was for sure. Then thinking about it a little later I remember racing him a year or more ago in a 3-way with a spraying WS6 T/A. I was hosing 75 then and still beat him though. |  Hey I'm planning on Lapeer this weekend if you want to go with let me know! They are open Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I'm gonna go test on Saturday I think. I need to find some extra hp so I'm gonna play with the tune a bit. I want to go 11.20/30's n/a this year. I may head back for Mondays race who know.
