Default Sportbike goes down

I was sitting at a light tonight about to enter the freeway when a CBR600 F3 sitting behind me throws a rev. I get on the freeway and as soon as he get a second he flies over 3 lanes and tries to get me to do a top speed chase.
No thanks.
He slows down and I catch him after a couple miles. We are pacing each other as I throw him a rev letting him know to go.
I am high up in 3rd (4000 or so) when we take off. We are pretty even at first with me pulling a little, pull 4th, and I keep building steam as I motor past him by a car or two.
He hit the brakes hard and grabbed an exit so I could not get a back up run.
The first good run of the year for me and its a win, and to a sportbike!.

Yeah, sportbikes are really slow. You need to pick on a more worthy competitor...like a Pro 5.0 car!

I love trying sportbikes! Older 600's usually end up going down. Sometimes you get your butt kicked but then again we're not running for pink slips!
Nice Run!

Actually streetwarrior sport bikes are really fast exspecialy for how much they weigh and they have sick top speeds for a motorcycle.

Yes, I know, I was being sarcastic. Sportbikes will tear 99% of all street cars a new *****.

Exclamation Sportbikes

Being a sportbike rider myself if you're walking away from a 600 in 3rd. It's only becuase he wasn't riding it right. When you're in 3rd most bikes will still be in second and with it nailed back. Good job smoking the bike. Just don't expect it with an experienced rider.

I shut it down around 120 or so.

Being an ex-sportbike guy I know what I can beat in my car. 600 Katanas, FZR's, CBR's, with the pipe and jet kit stuff. The new F4's are usually right with me, but 600's from the mid 90's are usually toast.

Happens at the track all the time.

I did fix the regulator. When it failed at the track I picked one up from the local speed shop on my way home. I am also hoping for my 10 second slip tomorrow. I am trailering my car for the first time too. 5000 rpm launches and powershifting on nitrous will not make my T-5 happy.

11.3 @ 125 so far...............

I have a 302 with TFS heads, an E-303 cam, and a Systemax intake, along with the other supporting stuff, and a 150 shot of nitrous.

Question That powershift you mentioned

I am curious about that powershift you mentioned. I have wanted to try it for a while. Do you have to shift early to keep the engine from hitting the rev limiter. My car is limited to 7000. Maby i should shift at 6000. On engine i shift a 6500 with no problems. How do you bring your car out of the hole, on the bottle or off. Some folks tell me to wait till 2nd. I run et streets. I've only run the car 3 times w/ my new set up so i'm still sorting it out.

Hey John....

You oughta fill out your signature. Go up to the "user cp" button. Once you're in there, go to the "edit profile" link. In there you can fill out information about yourself, and in the signature section, you can type all the mods you have done to your car....you know; gotta let people know about that little juiced 347 with all the goodies .

That way, anytime you post a new message, it will automatically include your signature at the end with your mods if the box is checked under where you type your message.

I'll give you a call when I hear about my tranny or if I make it back to town tonight.
