Can You Say SLEEPER???
Ok, at the track, there is a dodge pickup, full fize, it weighs 6500+lbs, guess what it runs?
11.7 on the bottle, its a turbodesil with 45psi, nitrous, and probably a lot of other stuff. he ran 12's off the juice on friday, and i actually beat him(i think he forgot to start the truck or something, because he trapped 112mph). that is the craziest thing i have ever seen, whats the best sleeper you have seen???

I was floored when that thing ran the 12.40 near the end there friday night, I posted about it in the Jeep grand cherokee thread, Crazy stuff! Did you see the size of the intercooler? It dwarfed my radiator! It was owned by an auto parts chain so it obviously had some $$$$ behind it.

Anyone see the 60's blue ford wagon in (I think) hotrod last year? The guy swapped in 460 w/twin turbo setup. It had around 300-400hp, but I think around 600-700 lbs/ft torque. He wanted it setup for all lowend power.

probably te scariest sleeper I have seen is an old guy driving a volvo station wagon. my brother in his stock 91 GT took offit from a stop sign, the guy and the wagon quickly shot by us roaring as my brother was just showing off. we caught up to him when he shut down and asked what the hell he had in there. guy said he lived in his wagon and drove around the US getting material for a book he was writing about street racers. he had a bunch of cash from his dead something or other that he decided to put into his car. he has a custom built v8 out of forged titanium pieces, dual turbo charger running with nitrous. he said he runs low 11s at most tracks. never saw the guy, nor saw his book ever come out...... maybe a street race got ugly..... dunno, but that was the best sleeper I had ever seen, kinda like the minivan story.
