Yeah, I've seen that before, if I'm not wrong, there's a small company that does the conversions, after all, isn't Mazda part of Ford?? ~Brian

With the torque involved with that motor in a car that light, if he could ever go anywhere when he nails it, that thing will haul donkey!! Even if the 5.0 is bone stock. What does that car weigh, 1500 lbs soaking wet with a full tank?

That right there is a "Monster Miata."
They make one with a blown 5.0, that is just scary. Check this out for more info. http://www.v8miata.com/Default.asp

I used to work at a Mazda dealership. When those "monster Miata's" first started out in Cali I had every kid in New England calling me about that.

I'm gonna think twice the next time I'm beside a Miata at a red light.

Ive seen a bunch of those over the past few years. Pretty damn cool. I bet it throws alot of the handling balance off though.
Hmm Modern day Sunbeam Tiger?

too bad you can only fit roughly a P215 tire in there due to the Miata's tiny wheel wells.
Hehe....car that short with that much power.....can you say oversteer.
