Yeah, I've seen that before, if I'm not wrong, there's a small company that does the conversions, after all, isn't Mazda part of Ford?? ~Brian

yeah mazda is owned by ford, remember the ford courier small pick up it was a mazda, just like gm owns isuzu, awesome miata.

With the torque involved with that motor in a car that light, if he could ever go anywhere when he nails it, that thing will haul donkey!! Even if the 5.0 is bone stock. What does that car weigh, 1500 lbs soaking wet with a full tank?

I used to work at a Mazda dealership. When those "monster Miata's" first started out in Cali I had every kid in New England calling me about that.

That started about the second or third year of miata production. Another thing up in New England (Actually more in maine) there is a guy in maine that puts 5.0's in Volvo's. D"OH !!!!!

Ive seen a bunch of those over the past few years. Pretty damn cool. I bet it throws alot of the handling balance off though.

too bad you can only fit roughly a P215 tire in there due to the Miata's tiny wheel wells.

Hehe....car that short with that much power.....can you say oversteer.
