He finally got the WRX.
Well, my buddy picked up the car two days ago and took me for a ride in it yesterday. It's pretty quick, but not plant-you-in-the-seat fast. This moron was wringing the piss out of a car with less than 200 miles on it.
Overall, I'm impressed with the car. It's got carbon fiber interior pieces, nice seats, great stereo and actually sounds fairly aggressive for a 4-banger. I will slaughter him, no doubt.

Let him put the same amount of money that you have in mods.. and the slaughter will be going the other way around. A few bucks spent in the right place and an AWD 4banger turbo will go a long way..

The bottom line here guy's is we're comparing apples to oranges, not apples to apples, the WRX STi and the Mustang both "own" there respective places in the niche markets of the automobile.
Boy! that was deep.

The only one I ever raced, I blew his doors off. I want a piece of these newer faster ones. Not that they won't get me, I just want to see it with my own eyes.

my buddy has a 69 el camino w/ gears, posi, full exhaust, edelbrock performer rpm and a holley 750 double pumper and he smoked one on the street. all the ones ive seen at the track (carlsbad raceway) are slow. i had high hopes for them but after seeing them run at the track i think that the eclipses and talons are still the big bad bowl of rice.
